Duotone Dice at a Glance
This at a glance review is to help you decide if this kite is for you!
What kind of kite
Freestyle Big Air & Wave Crossover
The Dice is a crossover kite for high level kitesurfers in all disciplines from freestyle, big air and loops to waves. It sits between the Evo and the Vegas in regards to performance and feel. Think of the Evo as an automatic transition while the Dice is a stick shift. Of all the bridled kites in Duotones range, it unhooks the best only sitting second to the Vegas. If

Duotone Evo at a Glance
This video and blog are meant to give you perspective and to help you decide if the Evo is the right kite for you.
What kind of kite is the Duotone Evo?
The Evo is a true modern All Around kite. I'ts meant to please everyone and it does a good job of it. It’s easy to use, and you’re just as likely to see someone teaching on this kite as you are to see someone riding on a completion level for big air. Fast, playful and fun is a good way to describe the traits of thi

Ocean Rodeo Stick Shift vs Duotone Clickbar
These bars are similar in design. They use a clicking system to adjust the steering lines rather than the center lines.
The Stick Shift is super soft on the hands
The Ocean Rodeo Stick Shift is soft and floaty; while the Duotone Clickbar is a little less soft, it's more refined. The drawback to the Clickbar is that sometimes the centerline can bind. This is due to the automatic swivel feature. The Stick Shift's main drawback is that you must flush it out between each use.
Obviously, these

Flight Aluula VS SLS First Test
The shop asked me to try to compare Duotone's SLS kites and the Aluula kites from Ocean Rodeo. I've decided to do a couple videos on this to share my experience and that of friends who tried it. I was able to get some time on the Neo SLS, and now I've got a Roam Aluula and a Flite Aluula.
So far I've tried the Flite and the Neo SLS. Two very different kites, so I'll compare how the lighter materials used impacted the kites in their own respective ways. I do have a Roam that I'll test and compar

SLS NEO REVIEW
The Neo SLS performs a lot like the old Neo, but it does have some advantages.
The real question is whether these changes are worth trading in your old Neo. I had the chance to try this kite in some light wind and some stronger wind with onshore and cross-shore onshore conditions. I've had loads of time on the original Neo, and after trying the SLS I do have an opinion on whether the trade up is worth it. Let's break down what you can expect and then we'll get into whether it's worth it or n

2021 Duotone Dice Review
A ride and review of the 2021 Duotone Dice by Jake Mitchell. The team is keen on getting more reviews out with different perspectives. We'd like to make these videos as informative and useful as possible, so please let us know what you would like to know in the YouTube comments section of the video!
To kick off the review, I have to comment on the colors and graphics. I know this has nothing to do with performance but I've been a big fan of the Dice since 2015 and the new colors remin

Do a pros and cons right away in the description.... to add to the conversation
This video has been done before but its a topic that comes up daily here so I thought it would merit a fresh video for the year. I’ll try to get as detailed as possible with the differences, what you can expect, why you might like either and which I prefer.

Duotone Select vs Jaime
So you’re looking to pick up your next board. You’ve looked around and heard good things about the Duotone twintips. Supposedly they are lighter, snappier and unique on the water. You went online, did some research and came across a few models. They all look good but you’re just not sure what one is the right choice for you.
As you run through all the product descriptions you’re bombarded with words like high performance. The ultimate pop, unmatched torsional flex.

Duotone Mono Vs Juice
I’ll be going over the differences and updates to their light wind kite the Juice and their single Strut kite, the Mono.
We've done an in-depth comparison video on these kites a couple years back. Over the years these kites have evolved and there's actually been a lot of changes since that first video. The core design for both of these kites remains the same so much of that original video still stands in 2020. Yet, you can expect the 2020 versions to perform better in some areas an

Duotone Neo Review
Rygo:
In years past we've often touted the Neo as more than just a wave kite, but also an awesome freeride kite. While this is true, it occurred to me that we've almost done this kite an injustice in regards to its surfing capabilities. This year, I'm committed to going the extra mile with these reviews. We'll be diving in to everything you might want to know about the Neo, and why this may or may not be the right kite for you.
The Neo is a good fit for a specific type of kitesurfer.

Duotone Vegas vs Dice
The goal of this video is to help you decide if the Vegas is right for you. I’ve done videos on C-kites in the past and when checking the forums, a lot of people got the impression that I am completely against C-kites like the Vegas. That’s not the case. That video was meant to deter beginners from starting out on a kite that would hold them back.
The Vegas is an incredible kite but it does have some drawbacks for inexperienced riders. The grey area comes into play when you hit t

2020 Duotone Jaime & Textreme Review
Today I will review the Duotone Jamie Textreme twintip, going over its strengths and weaknesses, and explain why it’s been my board of choice for the past three years.
This June, Hilary, Rygo and I went to Bolonia, Spain for the Duotone distributor meeting and had the opportunity to try out the new 2020 gear. There we met Jaime Herraiz and Manu Manuel, the two masterminds behind my favorite board, and got to pick their brains about what goes into making this product so great.
First off,

Duotone Dice Vs the Rebel
The Duotone Dice and Rebel are two kites that are completely different in design, on the water and in their approach to the different disciplines. There are aspects that cross over, leaving people confused on which kite is right for them, like big air, high performance and a "rip you off the water" feel. In 2020 the Dice has some re-designs while, aside from material changes, the Rebel is the same.
Rather than doing reviews, I thought it would be more valuable to cover the changes... all the dif
