KoGL Test Fest 2019 - Sept 20th-22nd
Registration Fees: Save $10 by registering before the Monday before of the event (9/16)
It's that time of year again - the chance to party, ride, and play alongside the MACkite Crew and our kiteboarding Reps and Team Riders. For anyone that is curious about the sport, the Spectator option is a great way to get in touch with local kiteboarders and MACkite instructors. Enjoy learning about gear, being able to test out trainer kites, and spend some days out in the sun. Plus it gets you into the free exclusive Open house Saturday night dinner and party at the MACkite Board Sports Center on Hayes Street. For those looking to ride the latest and greatest gear while also getting the benefits of the parties and clinics, the Rider ticket is a great opportunity.
Where is KOGL hosted? The beach, of course! Where else are you going to ride? King of the Great Lakes hosts their daily events at Grand Haven City Beach. Evening events are held at MACkite Board Sports Center on Hayes Street (see directions below).
What should I bring? For spectators, it's a good idea to bring water, a snack, and the willingness to learn about a new sport. If you plan on using the trainer kite testing area, then we suggest wearing comfortable beach clothing. Party-Goers, the same goes to you! For Riders, you might want to bring a wetsuit.
What if there's no wind? That's okay! We have clinics going all day long, parties at night, and we have a slew of non-wind events for everyone to enjoy.
The MACkite Crew loves hosting King of the Great Lakes, and we really appreciate the support of our brands and attendees. Let's make 2019 KOGL the best one yet!

Had a great time. Thanks again for putting on KOGL. Your Services are best.
KOGL Test Fest its great event, lots of fun (even if it's not as windy) family friendly atmosphere with lots of games /give a ways and parties
Guys get your tickets now this year going to be awesome!
Lots of equipment on hand, but with no wind it was disappointing to no be able to try any of it. I left on Saturday since there was no wind. It would be nice to get some of the entry fee applied to a purchase from MacKite.
First time going since this is also my first year learning this sport. Thought it was very nice but would like to see a posted Schedule of seminars, etc.... didn't know what was going on and when
Great turnout of kite companies with tons of gear to test including foil boards and use of boats and jet skis. Great hosts and fun events.
The is a great event for getting together with other kiteboarders and sharing the stoke for the sport! A few suggestions: When it is as hot as it was this year at the after parties, add a couple of fans under the tents. Instead of having one big keg of craft beer, have 2 small kegs, one craft and the other a basic pilsner like the number one selling beer, Bud light. Not everyone likes craft beers. Having boats and jet skis pull foil boarders was a great idea, especially since there was no wind. Thanks for hosting this event every year! I love it! :-)
Had a great time. Thanks again for putting on KOGL.
Easy transaction through the website. Unfortunately, I didn't make the trip due to the wind forecast.
