MACkite's Aaron on the Surf-Fur Original Water Parka

So far, this fall has been exceptionally warm—but we know that will change.

Speaking of changing, the good people over at Surf-Fur© have developed a changing parka to help you comfortably get in and out of your wetsuit when the weather turns cold.

What’s so special about it? The Surf-Fur Original Water Parka is:

  • Windproof
  • Waterproof
  • Full-length
  • Hooded

And it features:

  • Thick, warm polyester fleece
  • Snap closure
  • “Happy pockets”
  • Internal pocket

When the weather is warm, I just use a beach towel and pull a “surfer change” in the parking lot. No worries. When it’s colder than 50°F, however, the Surf-Fur Parka will keep you warm and toasty while you’re changing in or out of your wetsuit.

The materials used to make the Surf-Fur are quality, and the parka has a good heft to it. Unlike thinner and cheaper changing towels, this parka actually keeps you really warm, and it protects you from the wind. The last few times I’ve been out, the air temp has been around 45°F, with wind chill readings around 36°F. I stood around chatting with some fellow kiters in the parking lot after my session and completely forgot that I was kicking it in the raw underneath my Surf-Fur. And I’m a sissy when it comes to being cold!

Another thing I like about this changing parka is its length. It’s long enough to hide your bits and pieces while you change over. And, since it’s waterproof, you may even opt to just ride home in your wetty without damaging your car seats. I’m sure I’ll pull that maneuver once the snow starts to fly, but until then, I’ve been plenty warm using the Surf-Fur Original Water Parka to change at the beach.

If you’re the kind of person that chases wind or waves in cooler conditions, then I highly recommend the Surf-Fur Original Water Parka to you. I assure that you will love it!

Cheers to your next session, my friend.
