Wake Foiling | Basic Gear

Are you looking to get into wake foiling at an affordable price? Today I'm going to be walking you through the four things that you need to get into wake foiling. I won't be including any extra accessories; just the bare minimum pieces of gear that you need to get out on the water.

Hydrofoil

Obviously, you're going to need a hydrofoil and board. MACkite stocks the best hydrofoil setups you're going to be able to find online, and they go out of their way to find the best deals for you.

Safety Gear

You're going to need a helmet and a life vest to get into the sport. MACkite stocks a nice selection of these as well, or if you're looking to save some money you can find them on Facebook Marketplace or eBay. Just make sure that your life vest is buoyant enough that you don't sink when you fall off your hydrofoil.

Tow Rope

A good rope for wake foiling has a handle on it. An old ski rope works great for wake foiling, or you can find new ropes at MACkite.

Boat

As long as your boat has something more than a 30 horsepower motor, then it'll work just fine for wake foiling. Make sure it has a place where you can attach your rope.
