How to Jump Higher With the J-Hook and Lazy-S Kiteboarding Techniques
Make Your Kiteboarding Jumps Even Higher With the J-Hook TechniqueI've been coaching some friends on how to boost higher while kiteboarding. Most people use a J-Hook (carving upwind to load the rail) to pop. I find that the Lazy-S (carving upwind, but instead of popping, you carve downwind using the increased power to accelerate) makes much more power. But first, let's talk about using the J-Hook to transition to the Lazy-S.The first thing I say is that you are not being pulled by a kite—you

Cabrinha 02 Kiteboarding and Wing Foiling Collection
Exciting NEW gear from Cabrinha for Fall 2022/23. A new line of foils and two new foilboard models landing soon.
Cabrinha Fusion X-Series MKII Foil SetThe Cabrinha Fusion MKII foils are an adaptation of the Fusion design we've come to know and love, with an injection of speed and glide which makes them better suited for high performance riding. They added a horizontal fuselage screw to really lock in the fuselage for maximum stiffness. Not sure that was needed on this model but can't hurt, righ

2022 Duotone Click Bar - Session Impression with Mr. Jeff
Hey, Aaron and Jeff here at MACkite. We just got off the water and we had a good session this morning. Jeff experienced his first go with the Duotone Click bar, and I just wanted to get his unscripted feedback on that bar. What are your thoughts?
I'm not a fan, but I've never ridden it until this morning. I thought the Click was just a gadget, and I'm used to above-the-bar tuning.
Yeah, you know, way back during the development on the Click bar when we were first get

2022 North Atmos vs. Astra Kiteboard Review
Hey guys, Kristen here with MACkite, and today I want to cover the North Atmos vs. the Astra board.North Atmos Kiteboard
If you've been looking at North boards, you might have heard of, or you might even be familiar with, the Atmos. It's their big air freeride board, and it's pretty popular. It's a little bit stiffer, so it really allows you to cut through the chop and hold down the edge you need to have explosive pop off the water, which is what you want for big air and to g

Easy Kiteboarding Beach Start - RIDE with Blake
Hey, what's up guys? Blake from MACkite here. I've been pretty busy traveling the past few months, taking a little break, but it's good to be back and making some tutorial videos. I've got a really fun trick for you today, the beach start, and I'm excited to go over it.
This is a really fun trick because, instead of having to do your traditional "flying the kite, holding the board, walking into the water, putting it on your feet, and then sinking in", you can start right off the b

Checking Out the 2022 Duotone Vario Combo Kiteboarding Footstraps
I've always considered the Duotone Vario Combo Straps to be completely subpar when compared to the award-winning Duotone Entity Ergo Straps. While I am a big fan of the Entity, I recently had a go on the Varios. Here's what I found out.
Duotone Vario Combo Straps are Simple by DesignIn contrast to the Duotone Entity Ergo Straps, the Vario Combo Straps are extremely simple. In the box, you'll find (2) Footbeds, (2) Footstraps, Mounting Hardware, and instructions. Everything appears nea

Kiteboarding Without Fins
Kiteboarding without fins is an easy way to spice up your otherwise bland freeriding routine. Oh, yeah—we all do it. We get out there on the water and slowly glaze over into our almost preset mode of jumps and tricks that we always default to.
By taking your fins off (twin tips—not kite surfboards), you'll find the ride to be super loose and skatey, giving your existing board a breath of fresh air should you choose.
Have a go at it, and be sure to let us know what you think.

Kiteboarding Late Back Heli Loop: with Brad Strahm
What's up guys? Brad here, down in the Keys with Rygo and Kristen this week, filming some new content for the YouTube channel. Today I have a video for you guys on how to upgrade your late backroll from the previous video we did, bring it to a new level, and get one step closer to being able to do a late backroll with a kite loop.
For this variation of the late backroll, we're going to be working off the idea of using line tension as something to rotate against. In the first video
