Duotone Dice at a Glance
This at a glance review is to help you decide if this kite is for you!

What kind of kite
Freestyle Big Air & Wave Crossover
The Dice is a crossover kite for high level kitesurfers in all disciplines from freestyle, big air and loops to waves. It sits between the Evo and the Vegas in regards to performance and feel. Think of the Evo as an automatic transition while the Dice is a stick shift. Of all the bridled kites in Duotones range, it unhooks the best only sitting second to the Vegas. If you only want to do unhooked freestyle or big kite loops, the Vegas is the clear choice but if you want to get into the waves and freeride, The Dice is a good choice. It's also a popular choice for competion level big air riders looking to throw powered kiteloops.

Who wants this kite
The Dice is not aimed at a specific discipline but rather made for the advanced kitesurfer who want to focus on Kiteloops, big air, waves or unhooked freestyle.
With the exception of the Vegas, the Dice would be the best choice for a completion big air rider. Contrary to popular opinion, it does have more performance potential than the Evo albeit, it takes more skill to reap the benefits. The loops are powerful and fast. In the Waves, the speed and fast response work very well.

Who will not want this kite
New riders who want a more user friendly do it all kite or people who just want to cruise around. The Evo and Rebel are popular because they are easy to use and do a bit more work for the rider.I often explain to riders that all the kites in the range have the same bigger potential. The Rebel and Evo are just easier to get lofted. If you have no freestyle aspirations but want to ride the waves, the Neo is one of the best wave kites at the moment.

If you are an unhooked rider the Vegas is amazing. C-kites have a funny stigma due to a lot of misinformation from the early days of the sport. My take is if you can ride upwind and are working on landing blind, the Vegas is a better choice by far. Contrary to videos I’ve done in the past, modern Freestyle kites are much more user friendly than they used to be.
