Using the Foil Drive to Learn Pumping
Ryan sat down with Hunter and Ryan from Foil Drive to talk about the Foil Drive and how it can be used to learn pumping and improve existing pumping skills: a use case people might not think about when they first get a Foil Drive.
Instant Repetition and Easy Restarts
The biggest thing is that if you fall, you get right back up and practice again. When dock starting, you go out pretty far, mess up, and then have to swim on a small board all the way back. It's a long, tiring, sad swim home. With

KT Arc Pro Carbon Board Review with Tucker & Jeff
Tucker and Jeff are taking a look at a brand new board from KT called the Arc. The board shown in the review is a sample prototype, so the graphics look a little different, but the shape and dimensions are identical to the production models. Jeff received the board a week prior and took it down to Florida, riding the causeways on the Indian River to get a feel for it.
Premium Pro Carbon Construction
The Arc features KT's highest level of Pro Carbon construction, making it a premium, lightweigh

Jamie Overbeek's 42.3m Jump: Descent and Landing Analysis
The Brazilian Brothers are back for part two of their analysis of Jamie Overbeek's massive 42.3-meter jump. While part one focused on the take-off, this session covers the descent and landing—with tips to help you improve your heliloop and descending ability the next time you go kiting.
Jamie jumped 42.3 meters but had only an 8.3-second descent — an incredibly short amount of time for that height. He essentially fell out of the sky, the result of riding in extremely gusty conditio

Harlem Flow Surf Kite Review with Ralf Groesel & Aaron Hadlow
The Brazilian Brothers sat down with two legends of the sport: kite designer Ralf Groesel and pro kiter and designer Aaron Hadlow. They dive deep into Harlem's first dedicated surf kite, the Flow, to discuss its development, design characteristics, and how it performs on the water.
What Makes a Good Surf Kite?
Ralf explains that over the last two years, he spoke with a wide range of people in the industry — riders, influencers, and magazines — and when he asked 20 of them what make

Ozone Pocket Rocket V2 Parawing Review
Tucker's back with a review of the Pocket Rocket Version 2 from Ozone — a follow-up to what was arguably the most popular parawing of last year. The V1 became a staple in our shop and in many riders' lineups, so when V2 was announced, we were crossing our fingers that Ozone wouldn't ruin the special attributes of the original. That said, there were also some changes we wanted to see as the sport progresses and we ask different things from our wings.
The Upgraded Bar System

From Boost to Landing | Brazilian Brothers Find the Sweet Spot on the 2025 Rebel SLS
The Brazilian Brothers are back with MACkiteboarding to bring you a review of the 2025 Duotone Rebel SLS. The Rebel has been a standout model from Duotone for many years, and they're stoked to walk you through its features and their thoughts on this kite.
Why review the 2025 Rebel SLS?
Your first question might be: why we are reviewing the 2025 Rebel instead of the 2026 Rebel SLS that was just released? There are two reasons for this. First, there are still 2025 Rebel kites on the market. Seco

Jeff & Nate's Review of the North Downwind 900
Jeff is joined by Nate, a North ambassador and the "Tri-Cities semi-pro", to do a breakdown of a new foil in the North lineup. Nate has spent the last couple of years riding the SF 830 in almost all conditions, occasionally switching to the 1080 for lighter winds. Overall, the SF 830 is an amazing surf wing that turns sharp and hard while maintaining balance and a nice feel. It offers better glide and pump when connecting waves compared to other front foils in the 830 size range.
Transitioning

Jacobsen "Yes" Kite Review: First Impressions of a 3-Strut Freeride & Big Air Hybrid
First Impressions: A New Name with Serious Cred
This is Jeff at MACkite, and I just got my first session on a brand new kite in the shop: the Jacobsen "Yes."
Nick Jacobsen is no stranger to kiteboarding. Most people know him for big air, creative riding, and using just about anything that's on the water or near the water to have fun. So it's pretty cool to see him step into the kite design world with his own brand. And honestly, I'm into the branding: "Yes." Simple. "Say yes" to getting out th

Wind Chasers Pt. 3: Brazilian Brothers' Strike Mission to Hermanus
With no wind in Blouberg yet again, the Brazilian Brothers loaded up for another strike mission — this time to Hermanus, where the forecast was calling for rain and 40-knot gusts. As always, the brothers brought the camera along to capture every bit of the chaos.
Nuclear Conditions and 40-Knot Gusts
The drive into Hermanus had its own moments. Halfway there, the brothers had to pull over on the side of a mountain just to get the drone up — the scenery was too good to pass. From the

Wind Chasers Pt. 2: Brazilian Brothers in Witsand, South Africa
The Brazilian Brothers from MACkiteboarding hit the road for a strike mission from Cape Town to Witsand — a legendary flat water spot a few hours up the South African coast. With no wind in Blouberg and the forecast at Witsand calling for 25-plus knots, the call was easy: load up the Brazilian Brother mobile and chase the wind.
The Journey
Three and a half hours of non-stop driving got the brothers officially into the middle of nowhere. No water in sight, no ocean on the horizon, and a b

Wind Chasers Pt. 1: Brazilian Brothers' First Misty Cliffs Session
The Brazilian Brothers reported in from Kite Beach in Cape Town, South Africa — the legendary home of Red Bull King of the Air and a yearly stage for some of the biggest big air kiteboarding on the planet. The plan was simple: check the conditions, see what was going on, and get on the water. The reality, as it often does in Cape Town, had other ideas.
Chasing the Wind
The first stop was a bust. Kite Beach was empty — a little swell rolling through, no riders in the water, and no "

Brazilian Brothers x Max Tullet: 35 Knots in Cape Town With the Rebel D/Lab
The Brazilian Brothers caught up with world-class pro rider Max Tullet at Kite Beach in Cape Town for a session that wasn't going to be subtle. With 35 knots of nuclear wind ripping through and two-to-three-meter waves stacking up offshore, the conditions were perfect for putting the brand-new Duotone Rebel D/Lab through its paces — and Max was the right rider to do it.
The Rebel D/Lab Experience
Heading into the lineup with proper wind and serious swell, Max couldn't have been more stok

Brazilian Brothers First Time in Cape Town, South Africa
The Brazilian Brothers kicked off their long-awaited Cape Town trip with a check-in at Fortaleza International Airport, hauling enough gear through the oversized baggage line to cover anything Cape Town could throw at them. After years of dreaming about this trip, it was finally happening — and the brothers came packed for it.
The Gear List
The first kite bag carried the core quiver:
8m Master
12m Evo D/Lab
7m Nitro (for when conditions are absolutely nuking)
The second bag rounded out
