Wing Skate Preview

by Connor

Taken to the streets I was blown away with the wind carver board. The set up was easy and the board rides great. Having a little skateboard background is key for set up and maneuverability. The wheels are great for riding over rough terrain. The parking lot I tested the product on had cracks, sand covered patches and small stones but the board was able to go through all that with little worry. Some things you might want to know for riding the Wind Carver with a wing are;

  • Clip on a helmet
  • Find a open spot with wind
  • Watch out for others constantly
  • Grab some wind and ride

All the tools are included with the package, there is a set up video on our website that is easy to follow. I just got into wing boarding and this product helped me learn what to do with a wing while going fast. I was used to riding the Slingshot Crossbreed with limited turning but this was a great level up. I can now make tacks up and down wind, ride in figure eight patterns, and even put the wing to my back and fly straight downwind. Thank you for reading my review and I hope this helped get you stoked to try this fun sport.

Board Detail and Specs

Wind Carver Longboard

The Wind Carver is the ideal longboard skateboard for cruising, carving, land paddling, and Wingboarding or Kiteboarding on Land. It's an exhilarating longboard to ride that "feels" like riding waves on asphalt and is easy and fun to ride even if you've never been on a skateboard before.

The Wind Carver'ss unique 7" diameter wheels float over cracks and small rocks that would stop smaller wheels while the flat profile and sharp edge tires provide excellent grip to the ground. The larger and dropped deck gives riders a wider and more stable stance. The deck is made of bamboo outside and Canadian maple inside with a layer of fiberglass for added stiffness for the perfect balance of flex, durability, and stiffness and and clear sand finished grip on top.

Specs

  • Deck - Dropped deck, bamboo top and bottom layered with Canadian Maple and fiberglass; flexible yet extra strong.
  • Truck - Reverse kingpin aluminum hanger (20cm) with chrome plated, heat treated steel alloy axles for extra strength.
  • Wheel - 7" (18 cm) diameter wheel with copolymer core/rim and flat grip surface 80A polyurethane tire.

Wing Model and Specs

Naish Matador Wing

The Naish Matador wing is a compact, lightweight, and powerful wing designed specifically for wing foilers who prefer using the smallest wing in prevailing wind conditions, with a focus on riding swells and waves. Its unique design features a deeper draft and larger diameter leading edge and strut compared to other wings of similar size, with the power placed even further forward.

The wing's tapered leading edge and increased dihedral across the wingspan contribute to effortless upwind drives and exceptional stability when riding waves and swells. With its sheet-in-and-go power, even heavier riders can easily get up on their foil. Once flagged into neutral on a wave or swell, the Matador's light and nimble airframe allows for seamless carving and gliding, giving it the fitting name "Matador."

Key Features:

  • Larger and stiffer diameter leading edge and strut for a rigid overall structure
  • Deep locked-in draft for instant power
  • Optimized dihedral for luffing and flagging
  • Well-positioned and adjustable handles for optimized control
  • Neoprene "knuckle guard" under center grab handles for added comfort
  • Inflated structure with no hard surfaces or hardware
  • Compact and easy to pack up, with a drawstring bag featuring a pump storage feature

The Matador's design focuses on riding upwind and flagging downwind. As a result, the windows on the Matador are small and strategically placed to provide maximum visibility when riding windward, considering that most of the time the wing will be flagged behind the rider.

With its impressive performance features and thoughtful design elements, the Naish Matador offers wing foilers an exceptional experience, combining power, stability, and maneuverability for a thrilling ride on the water.
