With some awesome upgrades for the second version of the Mantis and a good price point to match, you can't steer wrong with this wing. Utilizing a windowless canopy for easier packing, traveling, and storage, the Mantis is a solid wing for all-round conditions for anyone from a novice to an experienced winger.
Rigidity is the focus of this year's improvements as well as an adjusted wingtip shape adjustment for easier water starts.

DETAILS
The Mantis V2 is the next evolutionary leap in wing design. Big steps have been taken to further develop the popular Mantis platform to optimize use through the whole range.
The original Mantis set a benchmark with regards to leading edge rigidity, and this year it has been even further refined, culminating in an ultra-rigid frame and refined profile. Combined with a pretensioned canopy, this gives a crisp, high-performing product that maintains its performance through a wider range of conditions.
Refined sizing and wingspans allow for more progressive power in the small sizes, while the wingtip shape adjustment helps deflect water during start up, and also allows for deeper profiles to aid in power delivery.
The Mantis V2 showcases Cabrinha's forward driving wing program and puts the ultimate in technology and efficiency into your hands to maximize water time and performance.
FEATURES
HIGH CENTRE LE DIAMETER
Increased centre diameter to the leading edge, as well as a progressive taper provides not only improved stiffness, but also increased canopy tension.
HD LARGE DIAMETER CLOSING SEAM
A larger stiffer diameter LE requires an updated closing seam contribution to withstand the unique forces that winging provides.
BALANCED DIHEDRAL
Many prototypes allowed us to arrive with the balanced dihedral on the Mantis V2. This gives a great blend of power to stability ratio.
HIGHLY RIGID STRUT
A single highly rigid strut allows for a lower weight and predictable depower when on a wave.
ENHANCED RANGE
Through the updated shape and dihedral, the Mantis V2 has an increased power range which covers a larger spectrum of conditions.
REFINED WINGTIPS
A change in the wingtip shape not only aids in canopy control and stability, but also reduces the chance of a wing tip catch when getting up and pumping.

NO WINDOWS

I’ve been with the sport a couple years now and in that time tried and purchased several larger wings from Naish and GONG. This Mantis however is a huge leap ahead in stiffness and low end grunt. I am sailing this is 8-14 knots (I’m 190 on a 1500cm med aspect foil) on a gusty inland lake so even when it gusts higher it flags great. Really well designed and overall a no-brainer cruising rig, that seems to move upwind like it’s on tracks. Love it. Wish I had the funds for an entire Mantis quiver.

Great construction, good power delivery, would buy it again. Issues on the deflation of main strut AND handles improved un v3

Sweet wing
I bought the 4m windowless mantis. It is a sweet wing! Very simple. Nice handles and surfs/flags great. The only criticism is that the deflate valve is not very grippy when wet. However it does deflate quick enough considering there is only one deflation valve.

Cabrinha Mantis
Always been a Cabrinha fan for their design and construction and how they stand behind their products. Mantis is a great wing with a nice amount of low end power and I love how the wing just sits parked while riding swell or surfing.

2022 Cabrinha 02 Mantis wing
My new 2022 Mantis 5.0 miter windowless wing turned out to be a big improvement from my Slingshot V2 wing. I love the handles and the direct power feeling for that size of wing.
