Tech Talk: Code Foils 810X X-Series Front Wing
It's been a long-time coming, but Code's new X Series is finally here. The 810X is the first wing in the lineup, designed for radial turns, aggressive maneuvers, and control at high speeds. If you're an intermediate or advanced rider who want to get the most out of riding in critical zones, the 810X is the wing you've been waiting for.
Why Code Built the X Series
The X Series was born out of the need for more roll, tighter turns, and sharper transitions, especially when winging. Riders wanted something that could handle big, peaky waves without loading up the front foot when maxed out at speed.

The 810X debuts with a new foil section and mid-aspect design. When you go fast, it doesn't buck you off; instead, it keeps rolling, turning, and snapping through those critical sections. It's the best of both worlds: you get up easier because of the extra surface space but not maxing out when you're on big waves. Pair that with a Foil Drive, and you've got a seriously technical machine.
810X Range & Capabilities
The 810X has been tested everywhere, from 1-foot rollers to 15-foot waves. It works well in light winds to those gusty conditions (like over in Maui). No doubt about it, the X Series is designed for the furture of foiling. It might not pump as well as other foils, but it offers maximum range in those big, peaky swells.

When winging, you'll likely notice tighter jibes and sharper tacks. When paired with a Foil Drive, the lift is easier compared to wings like the 720S or 850S, with better control. Thank to the extra chord, this foil gets up quickly and stays loose and in control for those downwinders. If you're into prone surfing, the wing locks in through turbulence and whitewater. Wing, parawing, downwinders, big freestyle jumps — it's meant to conquer all.

Who is the 810X for?
If you're an intermediate to advanced foiler who's looking for a foil that won't max out in heavy surf, is capable of more radical, surfy turns, provides earlier lift, and feels solid in turbulent conditions but loose in green water, the 810X is your next foil.
