Waka Glide Wing Foil Board | Can a Folding Foil Board Really Perform?
The amount of innovation we've seen lately in foilboarding makes our sport incredibly exciting. It wasn't too long ago that wings arrived as an alternate option to kites, and we're just starting to see parawings become popular for surf foiling. Lots of us love to explore new locations, but innovations like downwind and midi boards don't travel well, and we're forced to compromise with inflatables or smaller boards.
Nigel Thompson has spent the last two years trying to solve this problem for

Code Foils 1250 R | Built for Glide, Momentum, and Flow
Tucker's been on a lot of different foils at this point, so it takes something pretty special to get him excited. The Code 1250R High Modulus front wing is one such foil. Tucker has dubbed it the "Monster Glider Setup" when paired with the long fuselage and the 151R stabilizer, and it does indeed let you fly like a pelican for miles with almost no power, whether that's wind, wave, or pumping.
Design Features
The 1250R has a wide span of 1275mm (50.2in), a very high aspect ratio of 13.0, and

F-One has responded with three offerings in the category, each with a distinct appeal. Jeff and Tucker were able to get their hands on the pre-production models and take them for a spin, and now they're ready to share some early insights on what each one does and who it's for.

Slingshot One-Lock System Overview - Gimmick or High Performance?
You've probably heard about Slingshot's toolless One-Lock System by now. You get to the beach, you put your front and back wing sections into the mast, lock it in, and off you go. That sounds amazing, but is it actually a good foil, or are you going to sacrifice quality and customizability for convenience?
Tucker's impressed with Slingshot for tackling some issues that foilers have come to accept as something that comes with the territory, specifically, the challenges that come with using hard

Slingshot One-Lock Tips and Tricks
Slingshot's One-Lock system is an interesting new concept in foil assembly with the goal to eliminate the need for tools as you're headed out to ride. Since there's nothing else like it out on the market, Tucker's got some tips and tricks to make sure you're having a smooth experience with your new foil and getting the most performance out of it.
1. Unlocking the Fuselage
By design, the two halves of the fuselage wedge together extremely snugly inside the mast collar. That's great for making s

Slingshot One-Lock Is Here!
Foilers all have their preferences on gear, riding style, and location, but perhaps the one thing we can all agree on is that screws suck. They get lost, they need tools (which also get lost), they corrode, they can strip out... it's not a perfect system, but it does work and there isn't much you can do to get around it.
Until now, that is. If you're ready to go completely toolless, Slingshot has just released their new One-Lock system. And it's not just toolless; it's fast, strong, and stiff.

Cedrus Carbon Evolution Masts | Surf vs. Wind
If you've heard of Foil Cedrus masts, or "Project Cedrus" as they used to be known, but haven't ridden one yet, you may wonder if it's all hype. Why buy a 3rd party mast rather than the one that was designed to go with your foil? Can it really provide as good a foil experience, let alone a better one, to justify the cost? Tucker's spent a lot of time on Cedrus masts over the years, and he swears by them. So what makes them so special as to earn Tucker's Seal of Approval?

North Midi Wing Foilboard | Mid-Length Design with High-Performance DNA
Tucker and Nate have been putting North's new Midi foilboard through its paces. What's it designed for, and is it good at it? Who is it for? As always, they've got an opinion, and they hope it'll help you make up your mind about whether the Midi deserves a place in your quiver.
What's In a Name?
No secrets here- the Midi is indeed a mid-length board. It's primarily for winging, but it's also fun for parawing, proning in waves, and Foil Driving, so it can definitely be your do-it-all board.

Appletree Zapple | Is This the Best Foil Drive Board Ever?
If you've ever had a chance to ride a board that came out of the Appletree factory, you know it's something special. These boards are designed and built by the people who use them. The Foil Drive was also designed and tested by actual riders. The Zapple lets you combine the two, and it's magic.
Getting a Foil Drive may be the best upgrade you could make to your foil setup, but at the end of the day, it's still an add-on and adds some drag. Going with an integrated mast helps by getting the cab

What Foil Works Best in Waves and Swells? | High-Aspect vs. Mid-Aspect
The MACkite Foil Crew sat down to talk about which foils they like best for waves and swells. As you can guess, there isn't one right answer to this question. In addition to personal preference, it depends on your skill level, the conditions that day, and what sort of wave riding you plan to do. However, they do hope to help you build the best quiver for yourself with these concepts and insights.
