Brazilian Brothers Overview of the F-One Trigger TEC Kite
F-One sent the Brazilian Brothers a Trigger TEC to try out, so they headed down to the beach in Prea where Rubens geared up, pumped up, and launched, excited to see how it handled and whether he could get some good jumps in the 25 knot conditions.

What Is the Trigger TEC?
Available in sizes from 6-12m, the Trigger TEC is a 5-strut high-performance big air kite that shares its DNA with the Trigger Brainchild, but is more intuitive and forgiving. Its leading edge and struts use CODE-TEC, a fabric valued for how light and stiff it is, with minimal deformation under load and high UV-resistance. The Trigger TEC is recommended for intermediate and advanced riders.

First Impressions
The first thing to catch Rubens' eye was the spacious bag. Some kite bags are getting a little too compact to easily pack up your kite, and he could tell that wasn't going to be an issue here. The next thing was the kite's sharp black, orange, and white color scheme. (It's also available in a more mellow black, mint, and white colorway.)

The Trigger TEC uses a one-pump system with a Reactor valve, which the Brothers really like. It's reliable and holds the kite's recommended 9 PSI well.

As soon as he launched the kite, Rubens could tell that it had plenty of lifting power as he tried a couple little hops. The bar pressure was a little heavier than the Trigger Brainchild, but still quite moderate, enough to let you know where the kite is at all times. It's got a very reactive, direct feel since it's rigged without bridles.
As he finished getting ready to enter the water, Rubens was struck by how stable the kite flew. He could take his hands off the bar to make adjustments to his gear, and the kite simply floated patiently overhead. He didn't even need to babysit it as he ran downwind.

Session Impressions
Rubens came off the water with stoke to spare. He had a really fun session, with some big, lofty jumps. The kite did indeed have tons of lift, and it was easy and forgiving, with soft landings. The heli-loops were super lofty. The bar pressure was heavier than he was used to, but that didn't stop him from throwing some nice loops.
He did feel that the wind was a little light to realize the Trigger TEC's full performance potential, but the session was enough of an appetizer to leave him excited to get it out on a stronger day.
