If you’re confident that you’ll fall in love with this sport, this is a more advanced setup. This setup places the prop closer to the board, so there’s more room to play while on foil. You can easily learn to fly with the KT Drifter 50 on flat water. Generate thrust with the foil drive until the board is planing on the water. Kick the nose of the board up and the prop will come out of the water. Now you’re flying under your own power. You continue flying by pumping the foil. Drop the prop back into the water when you’re ready tired and want to foil drive to power you. Once you’ve mastered this, you’re ready to surf ocean waves, boat wakes or fly just slightly above the water in efoil mode. The prop is used to get you flying, then you do the rest. We love the biggest foil drive battery because it enables the longest flight times. And we love the integrated mast, allowing a tapeless solution that is more seamless and has lower drag.
*Be sure to add a 19mm (75cm) aluminum mast and doodad. This will give you everything you need to enjoy dock starting, pumping and surfing without the foil drive.

Constant volume flow provides enough float and stability to get going with a wing or paddle, yet doesn't feel bulky or cumbersome in flight when wanting to turn or pump.
