Yes, You Can Go Kiteboarding!
Are you one of those people at the beach, endlessly watching the kiteboarders and thinking to yourself, “hey—I wonder if I could do that?”

Yes, you can go kiteboarding.
One, are you physically able to get up and walk around the block? OK, it’s a little more demanding than just that, but I don’t want to over complicate things either. People tend to associate kiteboarding with having a higher level of physical exertion than what’s actually required.
Kiteboarding is more finesse than brute strength.
Two, are you able to free up your schedule and chase the wind at every given opportunity? Or do you even want to? Every kiteboarder has their own scale as to what they consider to be a good amount of riding time. Think about how much time you’d like to have on the water each day, week or month. Does your current schedule allow for that? Can you change it up if needed?
Being a slave to the wind can be frustrating. However, when everything lines up for you, it can be absolutely amazing.
Third, be ready to spend some money. As you can imagine—kiteboarding is not cheap. However, once you’ve made your initial investment in lessons and gear, you are free to roam the globe in search of wind and water for as long as you’re able to keep your gear in good condition. Plan to replace your kites once every 3-5 years as needed.
Take good care of your gear and you can plan to use it for many years.
Hopefully, this has helped you to make an informed decision about whether or not you should take up kiteboarding. And if you need to talk a bit more about it, please give us a call—we’re always here to help.

Thank you, and good winds!
