UniFoil WIng Review

UniFoil WIng Review

Today we're going to review a wing I've had on my list forever. Unifoil is actually a foil brand taking a fresh look at the design of a wing. I found that I truly enjoyed this wing on the waves and it had some fun benefits for that style of wingsurfing.

The UniFoil Wing

This is available in 4,5, and 6 meter sizes.

With the wing, I’ve had this for a really long time and I’ve putt it off for far too long. The good news is I have more perspective on this wing than normal.

First things first is this wing stands out as a phenomenal wave wing. It light and perfectly balanced with just the right power delivery. Its not the lightest wing out there but its balanced so well that you would think it was. It's light in the hand almost like its not even there. You really don’t feel like you are getting pulled around too much by the wing.

Power Delivery and Feel

The power delivery is smooth and favors higher wind scenarios. I found there are other grungier wings that work better in low wind scenarios. The magic of the Unifoil wing is how smooth and light the power delivery is in pumping wind and wave conditions.

Who is this Wing For

For a skilled wingfoiler you can still make this wing work in low wind scenarios but it does take more skill from the rider. In flat water scenarios, its fast you can really get the wing moving. The handles are placed in intuitive locations and are the perfect size for transitions and freestyle tricks.

On a side note, the colors really pop and the wing comes in a respectable bag compared to many other wings.
