The Best Kitesurfing Control Bar for Women and Children

The small North Navigator kiteboarding control bar comes in 38 to 43 cm. As a female, I’m always on a smaller kite than all the guys out there. The reason I like a smaller bar is it slows down and gives me more control of the smaller kites I am using.  Small kite control bars slow the kite down.

This is great because it prevents accidental loops and more control in wild conditions. The other reason I like it is because the bar is plush and soft. I have used some harder and more coarse bars in the past that gave me calluses.

The biggest plus is the throw on this bar. This is the first bar I’ve been able to sheet out all the way and still reach. Its nice not having to let go to fully depower the kite! I’ve never used a bar that I could sheet out with out letting go.

This is also North's wake-style bar. I do like to wear boots and unhook so it makes perfect sense for me to use the wake-style bar that is paired with my choice kite, the Pulse. Lastly, the bar has light bar pressure and it seems to soften up other kites as well.

This bar is the perfect choice for anyone who wants more control on their smaller kites, and for women and children with shorter arms.
