Ride with Blake | Tips for Water Starting
So, you've taken a kiteboarding lesson or two and you're ready to try your first water start. That's awesome! Welcome to a new reality, my friend! I have five great tips for you to remember when you're first starting out.
Tip One
Learn to fly the kite in one hand. Kiteboarding is 80% flying the kite, so it's a no-brainer you should have some serious kite time under your belt. I recommend finding a clear area and just hanging out with a friend. Remember to keep your hand on the middle of

The new What’s in a Name? movie is the biggest video feature to come out of Airush Kiteboarding since 2014.

Four Reasons to Buy a Trainer Kite & Which One to Buy
Bit by the bug...
I was bitten by the kiteboarding bug on a visit to Tarifa. I returned from Europe and decided to save up for my first kite. It took me all summer, but I managed to snag a 2009 Cabrinha Switchblade from MacKite when it went on sale at the end of the season. Even though everyone recommended buying a trainer kite, I didn't have any extra money to spend and thought it was something I had already outgrown. If I had only known back then what I know now!
The year of the trainer

Ride with Blake: How to Live on a Sailboat
In the second episode Blake gives us a glimpse into his life on a sailboat in Key West.
Kite dreams
Quit your job, move somewhere south. Pick up a sailboat and spend your days kiteboarding with friends. Live a care-free life. It sounds impossible, I know. I'm here to tell you it's not. Four years ago I moved to the Florida Keys. Since then I've lived in more than a few apartments and surfed a lot of couches, some nicer than others. Along the way, I've learned a lot about myself and

How to use the Cabrinha Overdrive Bar
In his first episode of "How Tues", Tucker goes over the Cabrinha Overdrive Adjustable Control Bar with Recoil and Fireball. Wow, that's a mouth full. Fortunately the bar is easier to use than it is to pronounce.
Cabrinha kiteboarding has quite a few bar offerings and for some, particularly new riders it can be a little daunting. Fear not, it's actually easier than you think. In this video Tucker breaks down how simple all the Cabrinha Control Bars are to operate.
Let's start with the Ca

Kiteboarding Video: Nick Jacobsen Wins Redbull's King of the Air
Congrats, Nick Jacobsen!
Cabrinha team rider and all-around goofball Nick Jacobsen has won the 2017 Red Bull King of the Air in Cape Town, South Africa. In the final, Jacobsen battled kiteboarding legends Aaron Hadlow and Ruben Lenten in front of the large crowd, coming out on top with his signature trick the "one footed boogie loop".
A terrifying, confounding trick where Nick jumps over thirty feet, whips his kite in a vertical loop whilst doing a full rotation himself, all this...one..

Kiteboarding Video: Richard Branson & Barack Obama Showdown
Richard Branson vs. Barack Obama: A Kitesurfing Story
I know, it sounds crazy, right? Perhaps it sounds like something you would read in one of the tabloids you casually glance at while in line at the grocery store. Believe it or not, the former first couple, Barack and Michelle Obama, were enjoying a well-deserved vacation, and Barack Obama took the leap of faith to learn how to kiteboard.

Let's Chat: Cabrinha Contra vs. North Juice
Cabrinha Contra vs. North Juice
The last few years, light wind kites have seen some very real improvement. Gone are the days where companies simply take their 12 meter kites and blow them up to slow, clunky 17m or 18m kites.
All modern light wind kites are designed specifically for the demands of light wind and fly surprisingly nimbly and easily for their large size. North and Cabrinha have built a serious reputation over the years and established themselves as leaders of the industry.

Let's Chat: "No sand in the Whip!" w/ Aaron
Tips for keeping your car clean, even after those sandy kiting trips...
As we were about to leave the beach one hot July afternoon, my 5-year-old son, River, turns to my wife, Lesa, and says, “Remember, Mom—NO sand in the whip!” Hahaah! I about fell over laughing - my poor kid has OCD like me!
You know that one friend of yours that never cleans their car, truck or van out? Especially if they’re a fellow kiteboarder that always has all of their kiteboarding gear with them

One kiter’s pilgrimage to Hood River and what she learned along the way.
Kallie and her husband Andrew exploring the hood
A few years back, my husband Andrew and I were traveling through Colorado. It was late on the Fourth of July, and we found ourselves driving from campground to campground only to hear, “Sorry, we’re full.” We finally found an RV park after ten P.M. where an awkward teenage host said we could pitch a tent, but with a warning: “Just make sure you
