MACkite Recommends: Set Sail
At MACkite, we're grateful to be part of the amazing watersports community. Sometimes we learn about a customer that we think other watersports enthusiasts might be interested in hearing about. Tyler and Valentina are a perfect example. They're living the dream, and they're making it possible for others to experience it as well.
We asked Tyler and Valentina to tell us a little bit about themselves and their company, Vive L'Amour (Long Live Love), and how they can take your watersports adventure to the next level: *
"We are a family owned and operated sailing catamaran charter, focused on adventure water sport activities. Captain Tyler and Chef Valentina are the crew. Both Valentina and Tyler are AIDA freediving instructors, kiting addicts, fisher people and water lifestyle lovers.
"Valentina is a marine biologist with a pure passion for all things below the waterline. Tyler is also an American Sailing Association instructor who teaches and certifies people to captain and crew sailboats themselves. Our current itineraries are the Grenadines (Windward Caribbean islands) and the Bahamas in the first half of 2024. Past trips have included the Sea of Cortez Mexico, Mediterranean (France, Spain and Italy), French Polynesia and Tonga.
"We are sailing this season on SV Vive L'Amour, a Fountaine Pajot Island 40 capable of accommodating 4 guests at a time. It's loaded with fun kiting, wing foiling, Stand Up Paddleboards, spearfishing gear and more.
"A day in the life would include waking up in a beautiful anchorage, a tasty, hearty breakfast, and kiting or diving the day away, depending on what Mother Nature gives us. Normally we move locations so that every morning is something new to wake up to, allowing us to truly have a fresh start every day. With a little luck, we will be eating the fresh catch of the day caught ourselves or sourced from the locals. Nights are filled with storytelling, games or peace and quiet under the stars."
