The Cape Town Effect - Hannah Whiteley

Let's go through the history of kiteboarding. Kiteboarding has been known as far back as the 13th century, but we know much of the current kitesurfing style from the Legaingnoux brothers, Dominique and Bruno from France. Many people still view the kiting industry as how it was when it first started: dangerous, extreme, and full of adrenaline-filled water junkies. As generations have come and gone, the sport has changed and is now developing into a sport for child, man, and woman.

Today, history is being rewritten. Through every shred, every trick, every cruise, the kiteboarding game is changing.

Women shred. It's not a question any more; instead, it's merely a fact. Hannah Whiteley's edit shows that kiteboarding is no longer a man's sport. Instead, it's a sport of art and finesse coupled with extreme athleticism.

Video Synopsis

Cape Town's energy & atmosphere keeps me coming back for more every year. Pumping waves, strong wind and an incredible lifestyle with so many options. Cape Town is the ultimate playground for adventure and fun, the choices are endless.

It's hard to describe the energy and feeling you get when you are there, I hope you too get to experience the true Cape Town effect.

Here is my latest video from my training there. No nonsense, just pure action, I hope you enjoy it.
