Chris Bobryk Freeride Machine

Chris Bobryk, aka "The American Sledgehammer", needs no introduction. He's one of the original North American riders from the second wave of freestyle and an innovator of the sport. He's even claimed a few NBD (Never Been Done) tricks in kiteboarding.

He's still touring the world and chasing the kite dream. Most recently he's posted up in south Florida teaching lessons and riding as much as possible. While he is an innovator in freestyle, his freeride game is on fire. Check out this edit from his home spot and a trip to the Florida Keys.

Chris is a master at hooked-in or unhooked. He even throws in old school wakestyle tricks like the belair. These we made popular in 2009 by Aaron Hadlow but are not common in 2020.

Normally Chris travels relentlessly for kiting, but this year he gets most of his sessions in south Florida or even the Keys.

Sometimes kitesurfing videos don't quite do justice to the power behind the riding.
