Description

AXIS HPS Carbon Front WingAXIS HPS Carbon Front Wing 930

930mm x 155mm / High Aspect

The High Performance Speed (HPS) wings are FAST. Designed for the ultimate in performance, yet still usable by most levels of riders. Since the HPS wings use their own foil section with less camber and narrower chord, AXIS developed a special fuselage that will accommodate all the HPS and future performance front wings.

The HPS wings are the ideal performance wings for WINGING and DOWNWIND. High level riders also SUP, PRONE, WAKE and WINDSURF foil the bigger sizes, while the smaller sizes are perfect for TOW, freestyle WINGING and KITE foiling.

This is a new generation of front wings made for FAST performance riding, while it's still stable and predictable with an enormous amount of glide and great turning.

As with every AXIS front wing, the graphics on the wings give you all possible measurements so you can best compare and also quickly swap pieces or get new accessories for your foil.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS WING IS ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH THE BLACK SERIES FUSELAGES

The High Performance Speed series includes the following models/sizes:

1050mm wingspan x 170mm chord, and 7.55 aspect ratio
980mm wingspan x 160mm chord, and 7.49 aspect ratio
930mm wingspan x 155mm chord, and 7.34 aspect ratio
880mm wingspan x 150mm chord, and 7.17 aspect ratio
700mm wingspan x 160mm chord, and 5.63 aspect ratio

AXIS HPS 930cm Carbon Wing

Technical Data:

WINGSPAN: 930 mm / 36.6 inches
MAX CHORD: 155mm / 6.1 inches
ASPECT RATIO: 7.34
ACTUAL AREA 1214 square cm / 188 sq inches
CAMBER (as % of CHORD): 2.5
VOLUME: 1228 cubic cm / 75 cubic inches

Recommended use:

WING Surfing for intermediate + and medium + wind conditions. It jumps huge.
Downwinding - Medium + wind and waves
SUP / Surf - medium bumps and endless gliding
Wake foiling - Intermediate + level.
Pump Foiling - when brought to its speed range it's endless
Windsurf foiling - amazing for all levels
Kite Foiling - Lighter winds, and smooth cruising at medium speeds

Here is what the experts say:

HPS are fast and perfect for winging and downwinding. But good riders are surfing, SUP, downwinding, wake... even dock starting them. Even kiting the smaller HPS is a blast.
The AXIS HPS wings get their lift from speed - the takeoff is dramatic. Catches you by surprise the first time you take off. This high aspect ratio and the lower camber foil section makes them perfomance-oriented, but still comfortable for the intermediate levels.

Rear Wing Options:

ALL HPS Wings require +1 Shim on the rear wing
S-Series 500 Carbon for max control and stability (entry levels)
S-Series 460 Carbon for high speed and loose turning (advanced)
S-Series 420 Carbon for the ultimate performance (speed and turning - intermediate +). One of our favorite rear wings for fast riding.
S-Series 440 Carbon for control and stability (all levels)
S-Series 400 Carbon for looser feel and carvy turns while still maintaining good amount of control (Intermediate)
S-Series 390 Carbon for Wing and Surf with good turning control and additional glide
S-Series 370 Carbon for loose feel and fast turning, with less stability (intermediate). The rear wing that does it all - One of our favorite wings for the HPS series front wings.
S-Series 340 Carbon for even looser feel and even less drag and more speed. (advanced)
S-Series 500 anhedral Carbon specific to windsurf foiling

When you purchase an AXIS carbon front wing we include an AXIS padded cover with zipper, in heather gray, and AXIS branding, for safer setup, transportation and storage.

Just what I was looking for

Posted by IcebergMansion on 17th Aug 2021

Advanced prone and kite foiler, 75kg, mostly very weak surf. Ultrashort fuse w/Kane tail and 4'4" pedigo board. Excellent pump, glide, speed, and turning. Takes a bit more speed for liftoff compared to my 1010 (which I rode this morning due to shin high surf) however much better wing if waves are thigh or bigger. I was looking for a wing that still had decent low end but better turning than my 1010 and could handle bigger surf, this fits that description. Absolutely shreds turns gaining speed and carving like powder which is the best thing in surf foiling in my opinion. Pumping speed is fast so you can get way outside to the bumps quick and that low end is very good once you are up and running which was surprising. Can breach tips much better than the 1010. I love this wing and it was basically no learning curve. Not a beginner wing though and needs a decent wave, with the 1010 I can ollie on to foil with literally any breaking wave.
