SURF / FREERIDE

Tucker, MACkite's de-facto winging expert (don't tell the others) has ridden the Duotone Float. Surprisingly, he prefers it over the popular Unit Wing, especially for riding overpowered. It's stable with well-balanced powered and easily controllable in waves. Overall, it's a well-behaved wing within its wind range, and can even push its boundaries and still stay comfortable.

The boom (sold separately) was an interesting touch, since most surf wings use handles. While the wing isn't as packable, the boom did keep the weight down in Tucker's sessions. Not only that, but being able to fly one-handed on a light day in small waves was perfect for a little bump whenever needed; or, to simply cruise through a section to get to a better one.

The low sweep angle positions the center of effort forward, making it easier to transition between the front handle and boom, even on larger wings—a crucial feature for wave riders seeking precision and control.
