Kiteboarding at Point Betsie and Crystal Lake

While it is a ways north, any wind direction can be flown at Point Betsie, aka "Kite Beach". There is a nice beach here and plenty of people to show off to/ introduce the sport to. Plus, it is only a little ways from Little Manitou Island, which gives you a view of all kinds of commericial ships.

Also up here is Crystal Lake- the name says it all, and with an area that is waist-deep for hundreds of meters out, the glass-like waters on high winds are a blast!
