MACkite Annual KoGL Test Fest | What Keeps You Coming Back?
Matt From North has to say about the KoGL Test Fest:
You know what? This event is so great. All the brands are here. I guess we're supposed to be like arch-rivals competing against each other, but we're all a bunch of buddies that get together at this event, and it's super low-key.
Your staff's amazing and you make it super easy. You meet us here in the morning and help us unload our stuff and put our tents up, and it's all really easy. We're all a bunch of friends and maybe we share a couple beers in the afternoon together, so it's a really fun event to work at. Then we always meet all your local riders here, a really good bunch of people.
The actual venue is pretty epic too. We're all rigged up right here on the beach right next to the water. It typically gets pretty good conditions this time of year, so it's a lot of fun.

It's that time of year again - the chance to party, ride, and play alongside the MACkite Crew and our kiteboarding Reps and Team Riders. For anyone that is curious about the sport, the Spectator option is a great way to get in touch with local kiteboarders and MACkite instructors. Enjoy learning about gear, being able to test out trainer kites, and spend some days out in the sun.
Where is KOGL hosted? The beach, of course! Where else are you going to ride? King of the Great Lakes hosts their daily events at Pere Marquette Beach in Muskegon.
What should I bring? For spectators, it's a good idea to bring water, a snack, and the willingness to learn about a new sport. If you plan on using the trainer kite testing area, then we suggest wearing comfortable beach clothing. Party-Goers, the same goes to you! For Riders, you might want to bring a wetsuit.
What if there's no wind? That's okay! We have clinics going all day long, and we have a slew of non-wind events for everyone to enjoy.
The MACkite Crew loves hosting King of the Great Lakes, and we really appreciate the support of our brands and attendees. Let's make 2024 KOGL the best one yet!

Great opportunity to speak with the brand reps and see all the kites in person. It’s one thing to read reviews online but so much better seeing them. Thanks for such a great event!

Kogl fest 2023
This is definitely worth getting the full pass if you want access to try out many different kites, boards, and harnesses. It’s kinda tough as a newbie in this sport after getting your first gear, trying to decide what’s next for your kit after it starts showing it’s age. There are tons of reps showcasing lots of gear ready to help you nail down your next kit transition. When the winds up, this is worth it to check out for the sight alone of so many kiters/wingers out on the water getting their stoke on.

Amazing time overall. Some of the features and activities were a mystery. Also not sure about the presence of Mackite.

Best kite event in the world
Best kite event in the world! So much great and such a nice crew at Mac kite. Warning though about "longer than 6pm" if windy. At 6pm sharp the reps pack up shop so they can kite. Zero chance getting a demo after 6pm couldn't get one even when I begged.

KOGL Test Fest its great event, lots of fun (even if it's not as windy) family friendly atmosphere with lots of games /give a ways and parties Guys get your tickets now this year going to be awesome!

Fun Event
Lots of equipment on hand, but with no wind it was disappointing to no be able to try any of it. I left on Saturday since there was no wind. It would be nice to get some of the entry fee applied to a purchase from MacKite.

First time going since this is also my first year learning this sport. Thought it was very nice but would like to see a posted Schedule of seminars, etc.... didn't know what was going on and when
