Wing Foiling | One Important Reason We Love It So Much
We're kicking off a new series about why we love wing foiling. We'll get a conversation going and talk about wing foiling and share unique stories as to what sets the sport apart.
For this first video, I wanted to talk about accessibility. You can set up a wing and ride on any body of water with almost any type of conditions, from terrible, gusty wind to light wind, or rising wind and big waves.
This has opened up a new world of exploring for me and expanded my water time exponentially. I've got the bug to explore inland lakes and go touring around.
For this video, I'm launching on a small inland lake with gusty wind that is coming from a small channel and blowing offshore. I would never consider launching a kite here, but with the wing I was able to get out and explore.
Unlike kiteboarding, you can launch from small docks, unique launch points with a wind shadow on the beach. Pretty much anywhere you can paddle out. I'm excited to see the new locations people start riding because of the versatility and accessibility factor.
