Slingshot Crisis Review
The slingshot Crisis is a mid-range / entry level twintip kiteboard from Slingshot. In my experience, the board rides similarly to other boards in this category: it has a medium flex, mild rocker and takes the middle of the road in every aspect. It's aimed at new kiteboarders, but has some performance that experienced riders would appreciate.

The board has a wood core and lacks upgrade features like channels or carbon stringers. It doesn't have as much pop as, say, a freestyle kiteboard. The medium rocker is nice because it's not too slow and not too fast. It's easy to get upwind, pops well, and is soft on the body. Another point is the board is made by Slingshot and, to me, that means something. They have been designing kiteboards and wakeboards for over 20 years. Needless to say, they know what goes into a good design.

For advanced riders, you wouldn't hate this board, but there are better options like the Formula V1 or the Asylum.
If you are new, on a budget, or a weekend warrior, I think the Slingshot Crisis is a good option. If you are after prime performance, have no budget, or are an advanced rider, I think other options should be considered.
