Ride With Blake | How to Foilboard
Blake Olsen will be covering a variety of topics including trick tips and the basics behind foilboarding for the first time.
Foil boarding is beyond fun Many claim it's akin to snowboarding in endless powder. That said it can be intimidating for first timers looking to get on the water. I have a few tips to make the process easy and reduce those pesky crashes.
Tip One
Keep your weight centered over your front knee. This is as simple as keeping your shoulders lined up with your front knee. This will allow you to ride on the surface of the water with your board rather than the foil.

Tip two
When you get comfortable riding like this slowly start to lean back and start pumping the board very lightly.
Get used to this bobbing motion. You don't want to take it too fast here so keep it mellow.
When your ready lean back gently and see how long you can go between bobs. Before you know it you will be out of the water and riding.

Tip Three
Remember to sheet out on the bar. You don't want too much speed or power. Keeping things mellow will make the experience much more laid back and save you from a lot of crashing.
