Lift 5 eFoil and the LCS Connection System
Eli is joined by Corey from Lift to go over the new Lift 5 and the LCS (Lift Connect System) connection. This new system is designed for ease of use and a quick setup so you can get out on the water faster.
Who Is It For?
This system is perfect for folks who are out on boats with their families and want to take these out for their kids, parents, or grandparents to play around on. It's simple, fast, and removes the need for tools. Assembly can be done in a matter of 60 seconds if you have everything within arm's reach.
The Lift 5 4'9" Board
The main board featured is the Lift 5 4'9" in a blue color. The entire setup is carbon fiber — the board, the mast, and the wings. A major benefit of the full carbon fiber construction is that it's lightweight and reacts well with the rider. When you're on foil, it's responsive and keeps the entire setup lightweight.
Tool-Less Assembly with LCS
The setup is simple and can be done in about 60 seconds if you're rushing. The Lift Connect System (LCS) eliminates the need to fumble around with tools, different Allen keys, or all the different little parts that you might be fiddling with on other setups. This is a huge benefit if you're on a boat and rocking around, since you don't have to worry about dropping tools or losing parts in the water.
Connecting the Mast
Starting with the mast, it's basically just one clip. You pull the clip up, get the mast seated to make sure it's square, and literally snap it on. Once snapped, the mast is locked in and good to go.
Connecting the Wings
For the wings, there's a tab located on the foil. You push that tab down and snap it up to open it. You set the wing right on and snap it in. With those two steps, the majority of the setup is ready to go.
Gen 5 Full Range Battery
The battery used is the Gen 5 full range battery. On a full charge, if you're not hammering the throttle, you can usually get about an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes of ride time on a single ride. To install it, the battery simply slots into the board, and you snap the handle in.
