2026 Lift eFoils Lineup: Lift5 F, Lift5, and LiftX

Eli from MACkite is joined by Corey from Lift to go over the Lift eFoil family, including the Lift5 F, the Lift5, and the LiftX. No matter where you are in your foiling journey, there's a Lift for you, but which is it?

Lift5 F - Flying Is for Everyone

The Lift5 F is a 5'4"/83L or 4'9"/67L fiberglass board. The rider looking for a Lift5 F is typically an entry-level or first-time foiler who wants to get into eFoiling at a friendly price point. These boards provide a ton of stability and are incredibly durable.

The Lift5 F features:

• A full aluminum mast.
• Carbon front and back wings (bolt-on).
• The LCS connection point for a quick, easy, and seamless setup.
• A Gen 5 full-range battery.
• The standard Lift hand controller.

The boards have plenty of volume, but you can also add "training wheels" with the Blowfish, an inflatable pod that goes around the board. If you think you can't eFoil, you're wrong; you can get out there, and this is a great starting point. As your riding ability increases and your skills progress, the Lift ecosystem allows you to grow with the board by upgrading to different masts, wings, and prop systems.

Lift5 - Accessible Progression

Once you are comfortable riding, you can move over to the Lift5. This is the flagship model and adds a 4'4"/48L to the two sizes available with the Lift5 F. The Lift5 is designed for the intermediate rider who wants more out of their foil and wants to enhance their skills further.

The Lift5 is a full carbon setup, including the mast, foil, and board. It is much more responsive and incredibly lightweight. Everything on it utilizes the Lift Connect System (LCS), so there are no tools required for the mast; everything just clicks and snaps in, and you can be on the water in under five minutes. There are only three bolts total for the entire foil setup: one for the front wing and two for the rear.

Elite Hand Controller

The Lift5 comes with the Elite hand controller, which differs from the standard controller found on the Lift5 F. While the standard controller mainly shows your battery health, the Elite controller features:

• Full location tracking and GPS.
• Top speed display.
• A carbon fiber construction that is very lightweight.
• An enhanced, touchier trigger point.

LiftX - Catch All the Waves

The features of the Lift5 transfer into the LiftX, including the full carbon construction and LCS. However, the LiftX offers even more weight savings. It's intended for the foiler who wants to get as close as they can to a true surf-like feel while still having the benefit of a self-propelled system.

The LiftX is like a surfboard with an additional boost if you need it. It features a folding prop that is powerful and provides a ton of torque. While you can use the Gen 5 full-range battery (which offers about 90 minutes of ride time and weighs 30 pounds), many riders opt for the 16-pound battery which offers about 45 minutes of runtime. This results in one of the lightest setups in the lineup.

Customization and Motor Mounts

One of the unique features of the LiftX is the ability to choose between two different masts: a low motor mount or a high motor mount. With the high motor mount, even though the smaller battery may only give you 45 minutes of boost, your sessions can last until your legs give out if you are surfing waves. Once you ride the LiftX and feel how lightweight and customizable it is, it's hard to go back to other models. If you are an experienced rider looking to push and challenge yourself, this is the board to look into.

If your goal is just to take the occasional cruise, and you want something your family and guests can all use, check out the Lift5 F. If you'd like a little more performance, the Lift5 will let you progress. And the LiftX will get you onto any set of waves that catches your eye.
