Introducing a New Way to Wing Foil | Ensis Roger Parawing
The newest addition to the foil cornucopia... foil-copia... cornu-foila...? Whatever the metaphorical mashup, parawinging is injecting yet another dose of innovation and excitement to the windsport world. Ensis has smartly launched the Roger wing in anticipation of this hot new trend.

Parawings, a hybrid of single-skin kite and wingfoil design, offer easy, wind-driven fun and the ability to quickly pack and stow the wing for extended wave riding and downwind glides. After being stowed, they can be deployed as easily as a plastic bag in the wind to ride off under wind power again.

In addition to the obvious downwind and wave riding benefits, riders are finding the parawings to be a nice backup safety precaution on long runs or difficult conditions since they pack down and deploy so easily.

The Roger wing is the first of its kind for Ensis, but comes to market with 2nd generation-type innovations to make riding easier, safer, and more intuitive. The first-of-its-kind leash attachment and safety offers instant depower without losing your sail or getting massive tangles caused by bar inversions through the bridle lines. Color-coded lines give a quick visual reference when stowing, deploying, or checking bridles.

First launching in a widely useful 3m size, more sizes will be forthcoming in the spring. The 3m will cover a range of roughly 20-30kn on average, depending on rider weight, ability, gear, and conditions.

Compared to other options currently in the market, the Roger offers an easier progression, easy-to-spot colors, simple setup, a wide range of wind use, and is ready to ride out of the box without modification. These will be a limited first production, so act fast or wait on the beach.
