Brazilian Brothers Review the 2026 North Orbit
The Brazilian Brothers have broken down the brand-new 2026 North Orbit. They've had early access to the kite, plenty of sessions on the water, and (unashamedly) some big crashes already. In this review, they break down the Orbit's capabilities along with some insight into who the kite is really for.
First Impressions: Orbit with Pro DNA
The Brazilian Brothers have been riding the Orbit for years. While past versions have gotten small tweaks, the 2026 model takes a step forward. Basically, North pulled proven, performance-backed tech straight from the Orbit Pro and blended it into the classic Orbit we know and love.
The big move was the addition of the N-Max 2 material. This material makes the kite lighter, allows a thinner leading edge, and bumps up overall efficiency. You're getting a taste of pro-level performance without breaking the bank.

Performance on the 2026 Orbit
Lift & Hangtime Improvements
Past Orbits sometimes left you wishing for more lift and hangtime. The 2026 version gets you up, stays there, and brings you down smoother. No matter if you're sending it straight up or looping hard, the landings are considerably softer and more controlled.
Improved Stability
To the Brazilian Brothers, the 2026 Orbit is hands-down the most stable version yet. They put it through weeks of riding in Brazil, including plenty of crashes while working on kite loops, and it never stalled. That's a huge confidence boost when you're pushing progression.
Looping & Progression
The Orbit still shines as one of the best kites for kite loop progression. While the loop speed hasn’t changed much, it’s forgiving, intuitive, and (most importantly) it always catches you. Even when you botch a loop, the kite pulls you back up instead of punishing you. That makes it perfect for working into board-offs and rotations without fear.

Big Air Performance
The Orbit is at its best when fully lit, giving you massive vertical boost and controlled glide. It’s not designed for light wind cruising. The Orbit is a high-octane big air machine. The light bar pressure and solid depower keep you comfortable to push the bar out and get good vertical lift, especially in high-end days.
Who's the 2026 North Orbit For?
If you’re primarily a twin tip rider chasing big air and ready to push into kite loops, the 2026 Orbit is your weapon. It’s approachable, predictable, and a legit step up from previous years. Riders who loved the 2025 Orbit will feel right at home, but with noticeable gains in lift and stability.
