A Quick Glance at the FLITELab AMP Jet

The FLITELab AMP Jet delivers seamless, drag-free propulsion with up to 25kg of thrust without compromising your ride. Foil Drive vs. FLITELab

The FLITELab AMP Jet and Foil Drive are both game-changing foil assist systems, but they take radically different approaches. The AMP Jet is built into FLITELab’s custom boards and features a jet cartridge that delivers up to 25kg of thrust with zero drag once on foil, making it the cleanest solution on the market. Its LAUNCHPad hands-free controller and airline-compliant battery setup offer simplicity and smart tech in one sleek package.

In contrast, the Foil Drive mounts to your mast and works with any board and foil setup. It offers mid-ride boost capabilities, making it ideal for beginners or riders who want help staying on foil.

For winging, AMP Jet’s integrated controller makes takeoff easier. For prone and downwinding, the choice depends on whether you prioritize clean performance (FLITELab) or more forgiving ride-time assistance (Foil Drive). Setup is faster with AMP, but Foil Drive offers more compatibility.

Interview with FLITELab Designer Chris Reynolds

Cole had a chance to test the new FLITELab boards and meet up with designer Chris Reynolds.
