MN Carbon Wave C

Session Impressions
My friend and I took out the Flite Ultra L3 with the Prop C folding propeller and the Flux 1010 setup, as well as the Lift5 Sport Complete eFoil 4'9" model.
The boards set up like a charm. We are both still newer to the Flite and Lift gear itself, but it was super simple to get the boards set up, powered on, and synced with the remotes. The Fliteboard is so much lighter than other eFoils that I have carried around, which made the walk down to the beach much more comfortable.
In the water, the Flite took a few attempts to master getting up on, but once I did, the riding felt effortless and free. We rode down the beach and back, and it was easy to get comfortable with the board. I probably foiled two miles without dropping into the water, including some loops and maneuvers to interact with my friend.
After a while, we switched boards, and I was astounded by the ease of getting up and riding the Lift board. Riding them back-to-back highlighted the distinct differences between the two styles:
- Lift5 Sport: Felt powerful and stable, like something I could ride for hours without needing to focus too much on the riding mechanics itself. It seems ideal for scenic cruising where you can just coast and enjoy the surroundings.
- Flite Ultra L3: Felt sportier, spunkier, and better suited for action-packed riding where you get more of a thrill from aggressive carving.
My friend is a newer rider and really enjoyed the Lift board. He struggled a bit to stay on the Fliteboard, so we didn't spend much time having him try it out. The smaller size and lightweight build that make the Fliteboard fun also demand more skill to get going. With more time and experience, he will have no issue with it. All in all, we had a blast and are looking forward to our next session with these boards.
