The Chipri Legacy is one of those. Born from a singular riding style — offset, rail-to-rail, fluid, committed — and shaped through precise, collective work to put that vision within reach of the riders chasing it.

Chipri Courde was a talented rider, renowned for his unique style and a vision that always kept him one step ahead in board design. Since 2023, you’ve ridden the CHIPRI PRO on spots worldwide, a board imagined and designed by Chipri himself.

Today, carrying that heritage forward, we introduce the CHIPRI LEGACY.

Three years later, this new version retains the DNA of the original shape while expanding its versatility. More balanced, more intuitive, and more forgiving, it improves on every front: easier take-offs, sharper rail-to-rail transitions, better glide, and more accessible handling in varied conditions.

These advancements are made possible by a subtly elongated shape, a reworked outline, an optimized recessed standing area, straightened water release lines, and specific work on the tail to reduce drag and fluidify the relaunch. Still built in full triaxial carbon sandwich, light, stiff, and responsive, the CHIPRI LEGACY remains the benchmark board for wave riding and surf foiling.

Program:

The Chipri Legacy is built for surf foilers chasing a demanding, high-performance wave riding shape — no compromises on forgiveness. Target rider — Intermediate to advanced surf foiler, comfortable on foil, pushing their wave riding, after precise rail-to-rail and clean flight, ready to move on from a forgiving board that holds them back. Uses — Wave riding (primary), tow-in, dockstart, wake foil, occasional strapless kite foil.

Size Guide:

• Legacy 4’1: Built for advanced surf foilers chasing an ultra-responsive wave ride. The reference size to fully express the offset DNA of the shape.
• Legacy 4’5: Built for surf foilers chasing the sweet spot between responsiveness and forgiveness. Easier wave entry. Ideal for the vast majority of intermediate to advanced riders.
• Legacy 4’9: For heavier surf foilers or those looking for extra lift in mushier wave conditions. For lightweight wing foilers

Setup tips:

Start with the mast centered or slightly back to feel out the shape. The recessed stance gives you room to experiment with foot positions. Behavior shifts noticeably depending on the front wing. Generous rails forgive light touch-downs — commit in the bottom turns.
