Session Impressions
This is my first session impression. I was riding a Cabrinha Ace Wood 145cm twintip board with Source bindings. The kite I was riding was the Eleveight RS V8 12m with a large CS Auto control bar.
As a brand-new rider, much of my focus is simply on trying to get up and going. The wind conditions forced me to ride regular, which required a lot of work on my weak side since I normally ride goofy.
Session Summary:
- Kite Performance: This was my first time riding the Eleveight kite, and I was very happy with it. I managed to keep it out of the water the entire time. It was easy to fly, and even during a few close calls, I was able to easily pop it back up and keep it in flight.
- Board and Bindings: The Cabrinha Ace Wood is a great beginner board. It is large and stable, which is perfect for helping me balance and get my bearings, whereas I struggled on a smaller Duotone board previously. The Source bindings are easy to slide into, though it still takes me some time to coordinate holding the board and getting set up.
- Control Bar: The Eleveight CS Auto control bar was easy to rig up and paired perfectly with the kite. It allowed me to easily stabilize and steer the kite whenever it started to spin.
Overall, everything went well today, and I am looking forward to the next session.
