2022 Duotone Entity Ergo Straps
Sizes: S / M / L / XL
The skeleton of a foot consists of 28 bones. The foot bones can be divided into following groups: tarsal bones, metatarsal bones and phalanxes. 20 muscles and over 114 tendons and ligaments ensure the required flexibility and stability of the bones to each other. A fine nerve and blood vessel network supplies the surface and deeper muscles above and below the foot.
Long story short, this is why you need the new ergonomic NTT and the choice of four different sizes to find exactly the NTT which fits to your feet.
This year the economic EVA pad in combination with the toe padding is the guarantee to always have the right grip, an optimal pressure distribution with maximum comfort.
A stiff strap connection keeps your feet at the right place and keeps the whole strap closed in any conditions.
This new ergonomic NTT gives relief to overstressed nerves and prevents fatigue and pain, your feet will get less tired and you’ll stay on the water longer. The ergonomic NTT footpads in combination with the adjustable heel pads help to reduce pressure on the heel and even avoid shocks on the entire body, helping alleviate long-term foot, back and knee pain. An additional nice little gimmick is the possibility to stick the screws of the pad on the bottom of the pad, so you don’t lose them whilst travelling.

Entity Size Check
The new Entity Ergo is a tailor made binding system with a perfect fit to your foot. During a long developing process we realized, the most accurate way to measure feet for a Kiteboarding binding, is to measure the sole of your foot without toes. To find the best fitting size of your Entity Ergo, please measure from the top of the midfoot, between the 2nd and 3rd toe, till the end of the heel. As the perfect fit is very important for your kiteboarding experience, please follow this measurement advice and also check the graphic.
Which position should I fit my straps?
Stance Width
Taller people need a wider stance than shorter people. To find your stance width, jump forward and land in a comfortable squad position.
Wide Stance
- More stability in landings
- Can hold more power
- Increased inner side knee injury risk with overwide stance
Narrow Stance
- Greater maneuverability
- Less resistance in rotations
Pad Position
If you suffer pain in shins; move position towards heels for easier edging.
Centered Pads
- More stability in landings (weight lands through center of board)
- Harder to edge heelside with small feet
Closer to Heelside
- Easier to edge on heels for upwind and jumping
- Less stability in landings (weight lands off center)
- Harder to edge toeside
Foot Angle
If suffering pain at the inside of knee; move angle closer to parallel. Look for your natural foot angle when you squat.
Duck Footed (Wide Angle)
- More maneuverability in various riding styles (E.g. carving and toeside)
- Increased inner side knee injury risk with over ducked stance
Parallel Stance
- Greater stability in landings
- Less resistance in rotations

Entity straps
I love these bindings but for one major problem. The plastic piece (on the outside of straps, not inside inserts) that locks in to the pad base still has a weakness. The 2019 model straps were breaking like crazy....so they upgraded the 2020 insert to be slightly thicker (longer). I broke the 2019 within one year, and then broke the 2020 and 2021 sets as well, even with the thicker plastic piece. Duotone must know of this problem as they've tried to fix it with the larger plastic...but it is still an issue. I've never broken bindings before this and have a pair of Entity's from 2013 that still work fine (prior design to the plastic piece in question). Anyhow, leaving the review here because I had no response when trying to get the message to Duotone. I've been to more than one kite shop/school were I've seen a pile of these broken straps so I know it's not just me. One other side note/problem is that you can't get JUST the straps right now.....have to order the whole binding which is an expensive waste as a replacement option when you don't need new pads, just straps. Hoping that the 2023s have improved this issue as I see they've made some changes (strap connect system) to the new model. These would be 5 plus star bindings if they fix this issue.

Great NTT Straps!
I was using older Cabrihina H1 straps and I was constantly adjusting the worn velcro. Also, it was increasingly difficult for my feet to remain secured during sessions thus diminishing the experience. These NTT straps are quite intuitive and easy to assembly with lots of adjustability. They are very comfortable, and I don't worry about separating from the board. Now I enjoy the ride and practice board maneuvering and carving without concern. Highly recommend these "set and forget" straps.
