The Select is a full carbon design that combines high performance with a featherweight feel.
The Select has a completely new design concept and construction for this year. The outline has been straightened the tips have been made wider, this gives the board a much larger surface area, which improves its early planing and makes the board faster. The larger sizes of the Select are perfect for heavier riders and allow them to get up and riding in light winds. While the tips have been made wider, they have also been rounded to ensure a smooth ride through chop and aid the carving characteristics. The flex has been tuned to give the board an even more comfortable feeling through chop and give the board fantastic pop. It has a lively crisp feel underfoot and is very responsive to rider input. Jumping on the Select is fantastic; the flex works with the rider to ensure you get good pop every time. The board offers excellent grip and rides extremely fast when powered, but is still forgiving allowing you to improve as a rider. This is the 5th generation of Textreme Carbon boards and we have managed to create the lightest, most responsive Select to date. The Select is the most technologically advanced kiteboard out there, ride it and feel the difference you have been missing!

Absorption Flex Tip
Based on a unique new construction of the board in the tip area, the scoop rocker line ensures better response to changing situations. In underpowered riding, the board remains flat for fast planing. In overpowered riding, the scoop bends and provides for an increased level of control and stability. The flex tips absorb shocks and enable soft landings.
Medium Flex
North Medium Flex boards combine competition performance with every day comfort. Precise adjusted materials offer control, power and comfort in just the right way to feel good in every possible riding condition.
Torsion Flex
The special shape of the 3D cap allows torsion of the long axis of the board. This gives them more grip on the heel-side edge, rich and smooth landings, a direct drive and better upwind performance.

The Track System
"The Track" is the new mounting system of our twintips. Two sliders made out of reinforced plastic are laminated into the boards during the production process. Texteme Carbon
In 2012 we will be using one of the advanced fabrics in composite constructions. Textreme Carbon Spread-Tow-Fabrics from OXEON. Since the material proved it's futuristic performance in the 2011 Select, we decided to splash it on the new Team Series, too! Having the perfect mix of lightweight, durability, flex and excellent rebound abilities, Textreme is the secret ingredient to our high performance kiteboards!
