Ozone Amp V1 Kiteboard Kite
Ozone Zephyr V5 Kiteboarding Kite
THE ZEPHYR V5 BRINGS A COMPLETELY NEW DESIGN TO THE MARKET. IT MAINTAINS KEY ELEMENTS OF THE PERFORMANCE DOMINATING EDGE AND EASE OF USE FROM PREVIOUS ZEPHYR MODELS, WITH AN ALL-NEW PLAN FORM AND PROFILE FOR INCREASED PERFORMANCE AND A SMOOTHER RIDE.
The Zephyr has always been a ground breaking kite - without doubt it was the first light wind specific kite on the market that delivered both performance and handling, the new V5 continues that legacy. Renowned for incredibly nimble handling, ease of use and the ability to have fun in low winds - all while giving you the possibility to continue riding when the wind increases, this sets the Zephyr apart from its competitors.
The V5 is more stable than previous versions offering a smoother feeling on the bar. Add to that fast handling with a tight radius turn you have a 17m kite that handles like a 13m which translates to more fun in light winds. The new plan form has a straighter Leading Edge, which increases the kites drive and acceleration through the turn - this helps generate power, fast handling and engaged kite loops.
The Zephyr V5 is perfect for cruising, jumping, air style, honing strapless airs or learning handle passes. The boost is impressive and floaty, with instant power delivery and superior up-wind performance. Re-launch is quick and easy by turning the bar or using the Re-launch Balls on the leader lines.
Ultra-strong lightweight bladders reduce weight and improve light wind performance for lighter steering and faster handling. The 4-line pulley less bridle system keeps things simple, while our proven front-line flag out ensures a complete stop of power from the kite when the quick-release is activated.
There is no question that the Zephyr V5 will get you out there enjoying whatever aspect of kiting you prefer on the day. It’s the perfect light wind addition to your quiver, or if you often ride in light winds and are looking for an all-round one-kite quiver the Zephyr V5 is the kite for you.
4-LINE MODE SETTING 1 – FREERIDE / FREESTYLE / KITE LOOP
A refined feeling suited to general freeriding/freestyle and for those riders who enjoyed the feeling of the C4 V6. Use this setting for freeride boosting and kite loops. Setting 1 is the upper knot on the Variable Bridle Geometry Pigtails.
4-LINE MODE SETTING 2 – UNHOOKED FREESTYLE / PARK
A new feeling developed with the progressive AMP design. The kite sits a little further back in the wind window and is tuned to excel unhooked. Increased bar pressure improves feeling from the kite. Setting 2 is the lower knot on the Variable Bridle Geometry Pigtails.
5-LINE MODE – UNHOOKED FREESTYLE / PARK (ADVANCED)
In 5-Line mode the AMP changes in overall performance. The kite is supported in a tighter C-shape arc, with a more precise and direct feel on the bar, increased power during load up for pop, and increased slack when in the air. This slack also increases steering delay, offering more time for grabs and handle passes.
Re-launching in 5-Line mode is simple - either pull on one back line as in 4-Line mode, or in lighter winds reach up and pull Line no.5 to turn the kite over before re-launching.
Optional - Ozone CONTACT WATER V4 Control bar
A CLEAN AND SIMPLE DESIGN, WITH AN EASY-TO-USE TRIM SYSTEM AND FEATURING OUR LATEST INNOVATION - THE CLICK-IN LOOP.
Innovative Click-In Loop
An all-new push-away quick release with an innovative one-step Click-In reload function that is incredibly intuitive. The release handle fits comfortably in the hand, it is quick and easy to activate the release by pushing the handle away. A self-positioning release mechanism locates automatically, ready to be re-loaded by simply ‘clicking’ in the loop. The Click-In Loop…
- The kite is water re-launch-able, but we recommend that you keep it flying and out of the water if possible! A drainage system on the wing tip allows any water that may have entered the kite to drain out. Do not use the kite in waves.
- Always use a Brake Handle when flying a foil kite. This is the handle/line spanned between the back leader lines on your control system. This easy to grab handle makes inflation, self-landing and reverse launch easier.
- This kite features a simple yet effective front line flag out release in 4-Line Closed Cell mode. The 5-line Open Cell mode is recommended for Snow or Land use only. The air intake valves MUST be open when using 5-line mode – if the valves are not set open this will compromise the functionality of the Internal Re-ride Release System and could cause to damage to the kite. After releasing the flag out you should check the speed system, bridle lines and flying lines for twists before restart.
- Speed System and Bridle lines should be regularly checked and maintained in the correct trim or the kite will not perform as designed. If they are worn or not to factory specification (+ or - 15mm) they must be replaced. How To videos and a Bridle Check PDF with all measurements can be found at www.ozonekites.com
