Mid-Length
Mid-Length or hybrid boards, which serve as a middle ground between downwind boards and smaller, more performance-oriented boards. Hybrids are often shorter and wider than downwind boards, but still retain some of the efficiency needed for light to moderate wind conditions. They are well-suited for riders who regularly get out in 12-20 knot winds. Hybrid boards are more versatile, offering decent performance in both light wind and wave conditions, while also being able to handle more wind when it picks up. However, hybrids require slightly more skill to get up on foil than downwind boards.
