If you have been looking at picking up a foil assist but have been waiting to get in at a lower price point this is the package you have been waiting for. New riders in the 160-185lb range should opt for the larger 5'2" 55L board while smaller and more experienced riders can go smaller. This is paired with the North prime foil making it an excellent choice for new riders as well as anyone who has spent some time on a foil before and just wants to get more time on foil. The max starter kit was designed by foil drive with the budget rider in mind. It comes with the lighter weight and smaller capacity max sport battery and standard motor. Once you get riding and decide it's time to upgrade to a higher performance oriented board and foil you are able to bring the foil drive kit along for the ride and upgrade its components as well!

The Stinger “Open Trench” board was designed together with the Foil Drive team and us, then tested in Hood River, Oahu and Australia. The open trench greatly reduces drag and keeps the battery weight closer to your feet, giving you greater control for any size turn or speed you go. 

The Foil Drive Assist Max or Fusion fits perfectly into the hull, reducing drag for not only a better feel, but battery efficiency is greatly increased so you maximize your runtime. 

Overall you’ll find the boards thinner profile gets the battery closer to your feet for better balance with the added weight of the Foil Drive, thus enhancing your carving, pumping, and riding experience.

We’ve engineered the MAv2 Prime Edition to make your foiling journey easier, get you over the hump faster and shorten your learning curve. It’s the ideal starter kit for progressing in all foil disciplines. Compatible with all North Foil products and fully interchangeable, the Prime Edition is made up of our Prime Mid Aspect Front Wing (MA1200v2 to MA2400v2), Freeride/0 Series Stabilizer, A700 Fuselage, Aluminium AF80 Mast and AF Board Adaptor.
