The Foil Drive MAX Travel Battery is the go-to option for riders who want to bring assist foiling on the road without gambling on airline rules. This battery breaks down into three airline-friendly modules, making it possible to fly with your Assist MAX setup and still have meaningful runtime when you land.
Once you arrive, the sections bolt back together in just a few minutes and function as a single, sealed battery for riding, charging, and storage. Fully assembled, it delivers 9Ah and roughly 350Wh of capacity, giving you slightly more runtime than the MAX Sport battery. That extra length does mean it requires the longer A Nose Cone on your Assist MAX.
This battery is built strictly for Assist mode. It is not intended for constant power e-foiling or flat-water cruising. Where it shines is paddle-ins, dock starts, prone foiling, and wing sessions where a clean boost gets you up and flying without dragging a full eFoil setup.
Like all Gen 2 Foil Drive batteries, it carries an IP68 rating, with solid sealing against water and dust. The single power plug keeps things simple, with separate contacts for power delivery and charging, plus dust caps to protect everything during travel days.
Airline approval is never guaranteed, so it's up to you to confirm policies before flying. Most airlines allow lithium batteries under 160Wh, which is exactly why this modular design exists.

The Foil Drive MAX Travel Battery allows you to travel with your gear to your favourite riding destination and take a battery with you!
The MAX Travel Battery breaks down into three smaller sections for approved airline travel with 2 parts being 129.6wh and one part at 97.2wh. With just a few simple screws, the battery reassembles quickly and easily and can stay complete for storage, usage and charging.
The complete battery when joined together is rated at 9ah capacity or 350wh meaning it is slightly larger capacity or run time than the MAX Sport battery. Due to the extra length added by the extra connector parts, the Travel Battery uses the longer "A" Nose Cone for your Assist MAX.
Most airlines around the world will allow a person to carry 2x 100-160wh batteries, some do require pre-approval first though.
As with all Gen2 Foil Drive batteries, the MAX Travel Battery is certified IP68 rated for increased protection and peace of mind against water and dust.
The single main power plug contains larger connectors that provide power to the Foil Drive unit and smaller connectors for charging the battery. The included dust caps provides extra protection during storage & transport.
