Description
Stabilizer and front wing "Negative" numbered shims for Fliteboard
Options: Flat Interface / C-Mast
What EFS has to say:
The Fliteboard Negative Shim Set allows riders to precisely adjust the pitch and balance of their Fliteboard eFoil setup. By installing different shim angles between the foil components, you can fine-tune the ride feel, stance position, and overall performance of your hydrofoil.
This set includes five front wing shims and five stabilizer shims, designed to help riders achieve a more balanced riding position and improved control on the water.
Negative shims are commonly used by riders who want to reduce nose-up pitch and shift their stance slightly back over the mast, resulting in a more comfortable and efficient riding position.
Why Use Negative Shims on a Fliteboard?
Hydrofoil shims are one of the easiest ways to customize the feel of your eFoil. Adjusting shim angles changes the relationship between the front wing and stabilizer, which directly affects lift, pitch stability, and rider stance.
Using negative shims can help you:
- Achieve a more level board pitch
- Reduce excessive rear-foot pressure
- Improve control and stability
- Fine-tune your foil for different riders and conditions
- Dial in performance for speed, glide, or surf riding
- Many riders find that small shim adjustments can dramatically improve comfort and efficiency during longer eFoil sessions.
Who These Fliteboard Shims Are For:
These shims are ideal for:
- Riders who want to fine-tune their Fliteboard performance
- Lightweight riders who want a more balanced stance
- Advanced riders dialing in speed or efficiency
- Anyone experimenting with different wing setups
- Even small adjustments to foil angles can noticeably change how the board rides.
About the Conical Mast Shims:
The Eight Stab Shims for the Conical Mast are designed to help riders fine-tune the performance and balance of their Flite setup. These stabilizer shims fit Fliteboard C (conical) mast tails and EfoilSolutions tails for the conical mast, allowing precise adjustment of stabilizer angle and foil pitch.
By changing the stabilizer angle, riders can adjust the lift, speed, stability, and overall ride feel of their eFoil setup.
This expanded shim set provides more tuning options than standard shim kits, making it easier to optimize your foil for different wings, rider weights, and riding styles.
Why Use Stabilizer Shims on a Fliteboard?
Hydrofoil shims allow riders to adjust the angle of the stabilizer wing, which affects how the board balances and responds on the water. Small changes in shim angle can significantly change the riding experience.
Adjusting stabilizer angle can influence:
- lift and take-off characteristics
- pitch stability and rider stance
- turning responsiveness
- top-speed performance
- Shims are a simple way to fine-tune foil performance without changing wings or hardware.
What Makes This Shim Set Different
Most Fliteboard setups include a limited range of stabilizer shims. This kit expands the tuning range by providing eight negative shim options, allowing more precise performance adjustments.
Shims (-1) through (-5) match the angles of standard mast shims, while (-6) through (-8) are designed for riders using newer conical-mast wings at higher speeds.
This wider range allows riders to experiment with different foil setups and riding conditions.
