eFoil Lessons
eFoil Lessons in West Michigan
Looking for a fun, unique water activity while you’re visiting West Michigan? Or curious about foiling but not ready to jump into wind sports yet?
Our eFoil lessons are one of the easiest and most exciting ways to get out on the water. An eFoil is a battery-powered hydrofoil board that lifts you above the surface using an electric motor. Once you’re moving, the board rises and you glide silently above the water. No wind required.
We regularly work with visitors from Chicago and across the Midwest who are in town for a long weekend or a week at the lake and want something unforgettable to do. eFoiling is approachable, exciting, and surprisingly achievable in a single session.
The best part? All eFoil lesson equipment is provided.
"Took an e-foil lesson with [MACkite Boardsports] and it was an excellent experience for our entire group. Would recommend to anyone considering learning something fun and new. MACkite makes it a sport that anyone can learn."- Spencer F.

What to Expect During Your Lesson
We start on land so you feel confident before touching the throttle.
We'll cover with you:
- Safety procedures and riding area guidelines
- How the handheld remote works, including throttle control and stopping
- Body positioning and balance basics
- How to fall safely
Then we'll head to the water and build step-by-step:
- Getting comfortable prone or kneeling
- Standing and cruising at low speed
- Controlled acceleration
- Lifting onto foil when you're ready
Everyone progresses differently, but most students are up and riding during their first lesson. Good balance and general athletic ability help, but you don’t need prior board sport experience. With patience and coaching, you’ll get there.
"...I’ve never e-foiled before and I was able to do it! It was super fun and she was so patient. My husband has some experience with board sports and he was able to get into the “foiling”! The park was a perfect location. We highly recommend this location! We WILL be going again!" - Rebecca J.
