What Cabrinha has to say:
All Around Freeride / Wave / Big Air
The Mantis has earned its reputation as one of the benchmark wings in the market. For 2027, Cabrinha has taken the features that make the Mantis what it is and further refined the design with the latest technologies to expand the riding experience.
New aerodynamic profiles, optimized canopy tension, and an updated radial load distribution panel layout greatly improve balance, efficiency, and power delivery across the entire wind range. Combined with the lightweight and durable Teijin D2 canopy and new Teijin 75 trailing edge panels, the Mantis delivers a more refined feel while maintaining exceptional long-term durability.
The redesigned drop strut, rigid boom platform, and TruView infill panel improve comfort, control, and visibility, creating a wing that feels natural in your hands and inspires confidence on the water.
From first flights to advanced maneuvers, the Mantis continues to set the benchmark for all-around wing performance.

Who is this for?
The Mantis is for wing foilers looking for a performance all-round wing that excels on flat water just as much as it does in the surf and in the air.
This is a powered wing, ideal for the racecourse, the local break, or the foiler looking for exceptional performance. It offers excellent control from the leading-edge handle, feels balanced in the surf, and also boasts some serious big-air capabilities.
Whether you're progressing your first flights, freeriding, carving waves, chasing speed, or boosting big airs, the Mantis provides the balanced and intuitive handling needed to perform across a wide range of conditions.
How does it compare?
Versus 2026 Vision:
While both wings are great for the everyday freeride session, that is where the similarity ends. The Mantis features a much flatter canopy compared to the Vision's fuller profile, particularly at the leading edge.
Because of its flatter canopy design, the Mantis requires a little more kinetic input through pumping to get foiling at the lighter end of the wind range. Once up and riding, however, the flatter profile generates apparent wind and unlocks the Mantis' signature performance and impressive upwind angles.
For riders focused on the lighter end of the wind range, Cabrinha recommends the Vision because of its fuller profile and more powerful, grunty personality. Larger sizes of the Mantis should be selected more with rider stature in mind.
The Mantis also features a lower-dihedral leading edge compared to the Vision, allowing it to fly more balanced from the front handle when flagged out. This makes it ideal in the surf, where you can largely ignore the wing and focus on your lines.
These qualities also give the Mantis serious big-air credentials. For riders looking to beat their personal best in the air, or even those who just occasionally want to boost, the Mantis is the clear choice.
Key Features:
- Radial Panel Layout - The all-new radial panel cut ensures the thread-line of the canopy material follows the loads of the wing in flight, making for a cleaner and stronger canopy.
- Hybrid Leading Edge - The leading edge utilizes a stiffer 160gsm material in the middle area of the wing and a lighter 140gsm material in the wing tip area. This creates a stiff yet reactive feeling while reducing swing weight in the wing tip area.
- True View - The mesh infill panel allows for increased vision while riding while maintaining the support needed to preserve the profiles across the centre of the canopy.
- Convex Strut - The Convex support strut provides a stiff and reactive connection between the rider and wing.
- Teijin D2 Ripstop Canopy - Made in Japan, this advanced double-ripstop canopy fabric offers superior performance and longevity. Enhanced by Teijin's D2 coating, the fabric provides increased resistance against tearing, UV damage and abrasions.
- Trailing Edge Battens - Aerodynamic battens integrated along the wing's trailing edge optimize airflow, maintain a cleaner and more stable wing profile, and help extend the wing's lifespan.
- Rigid Single Boom - The rigid boom provides direct control and precise handling across the full wind range.
- Industry Leading Front Handle - The Mantis' rigid front handle enables precision control of the wing when free flying.
Tech Specs:
- Teijin D2 Ripstop Canopy - Made in Japan, this advanced double-ripstop canopy fabric offers superior performance and longevity. Enhanced by Teijin's D2 coating, this exclusive fabric offers increased resistance against tearing, UV damage and abrasions.
- Teijin 75 Trailing Edge Panels - The new trailing edge panels complement the D2 canopy construction, providing a refined and durable canopy platform designed to maintain performance over time.
- Hybrid Leading Edge - The leading edge utilizes a stiffer 160gsm material in the middle area of the wing for more stiffness and a lighter 140gsm material in the wing tip area. This creates a stiff yet reactive feeling while reducing swing weight in the wing tip area.
- Reinforced Double Center Section - The reinforced center section adds strength and stiffness to the wing while maintaining the responsive characteristics of the Mantis.
- Keylock Angled Handle Attachments - Indexing attachment points lock down the boom, eliminating rotation at the connection points. The result is a rigid and direct control system.
- Airframe Inflation Valve - The Cabrinha Airframe Inflation Valve is a high-capacity, one-way valve designed for quick and secure inflation using a standard pump hose. Its twist-to-lock mechanism ensures an airtight seal and efficient setup and pack down.
- Industry Leading Front Handle - The rigid front handle enables precision control of the wing when free flying.
- TruView - The mesh infill panel increases visibility while riding while maintaining the support required to preserve the canopy profiles through the centre of the wing.
