What Triple Seven has to say:

The Next Evolution in Parawing Design.

The P.T. Hybrid marks a new era in parawing development. By blending the simplicity and packability of a single skin with the structure, stability, and aerodynamic efficiency of a double skin, we’ve created a wing that truly brings the best of both worlds.

Built from the same premium lightweight materials used in our P.T. Skin and P.T. UDW, the Hybrid introduces a new level of upwind performance—one that rewrites expectations. Short lines, ultra-efficient profile control, outstanding depower range, and a carbon bar with the automatic airfoil mixer give the Hybrid a level of refinement previously unseen in compact parawings.

For riders who want maximum freedom with no compromise in performance, the P.T. Hybrid sets a new benchmark.

Hybrid Airfoil Concept

At the core of the P.T. Hybrid lies a specially developed high-performance hybrid airfoil. The front section of the wing, covering roughly the first half of the chord, features a double-skin ram-air structure that significantly increases the lift-to-drag ratio, delivering superior upwind performance, improved profile stability, and an extended wind range. The rear section transitions into a classic single-skin design, reducing overall weight while maintaining excellent low-end power, high maneuverability, and forgiving handling. This hybrid approach combines the efficiency and stability of double-skin airfoils with the simplicity, lightness, and low-speed efficiency that define single-skin designs.

Back Positioned Intake

Rooted in a performance revolution in paragliding, Back Position Intake (BPI) technology redefines how air enters the wing to maintain optimal internal pressurisation across a wide range of angles of attack. By positioning the intake between separation points, airflow remains efficient even with smaller openings, reducing drag while increasing structural rigidity. On the P.T. Hybrid, BPI enhances gust handling, improves profile stability, and preserves energy in turbulent wind. The result is a calmer, more efficient wing with stronger brake authority, predictable behaviour, and consistent performance from low speed to fully powered riding conditions worldwide.

Lightweight Construction & Packability

Designed for minimal packing size and fast deployment, the P.T. Hybrid combines ultra-light 26 g fabric for the canopy and ribs with thin 1.7 mm plastic reinforcement rods to preserve profile accuracy while keeping weight exceptionally low. High-performance spliced aramid composite lines provide outstanding stability, minimal stretch, and reduced drag. Despite its hybrid single- and double-surface construction, the P.T. Hybrid still packs down into a remarkably compact package, easily stowed in a pouch or wrapped in hand together with the bar, allowing for quick transitions without compromising structural integrity, durability, or overall performance.

Advanced Bar & Line Management System

The P.T. Hybrid features an advanced bar-and-line management system that maximises control while minimising complexity on the water. It uses a shorter carbon bar than the P.T. Skin, delivering balanced response, precise handling, and confident wing control in powered conditions. The Hybrid also retains the same proven line length as our P.T. Skin, ensuring compact stowing and reliable, effortless redeployment. A newly developed low-profile line mixer, positioned closer to the bar, reduces line travel and significantly lowers the risk of tangles during handling, packing, and launching. The result is clean line organisation and smooth, predictable power transfer.

Water Relaunch & Safety

Designed for carefree water use and fast recovery, the P.T. Hybrid incorporates a proven, full-wingspan water release system that efficiently drains water along the entire canopy, allowing the wing to regain shape quickly after contact. Full-tip cage construction prevents the wingtips from catching water immediately, giving the rider valuable time to correct position and maintain control during touch-downs. Integrated mesh drainage panels further accelerate water shedding, reducing weight and resistance during relaunch. Together, these features ensure predictable behavior, controlled relaunch, and a high level of safety when riding in real-world, dynamic water conditions.

Reinforced Canopy Shape

To create a stable and precisely defined three-dimensional canopy, the P.T. Hybrid integrates multiple advanced structural solutions. The leading edge is reinforced along its full length, ensuring accurate profile definition and shape stability. This is complemented by a proven internal support system carried over from the P.T. Skin, including a dedicated short plastic reinforcement positioned on the internal cell wall in the nose. This feature helps the canopy retain its shape under heavy load in strong winds. Gibus Arc reinforcements further optimize load distribution, translating line forces into clean, coherent tension and maintaining a smooth, wrinkle-free canopy even when highly loaded.
