SUPERNATURAL 2026 has several improvements that make it even more efficient, lighter, and more durable than before. Efficiency gained through profile updates and better canopy tension means you get even more power and forward drive out of the same size wing. Smarter reinforcements have allowed us to reduce the weight up to another 200 grams, making SUPERNATURAL 2026 one of the lightest rigid boom wings on the market today. The new vectran UD stringers, combined with our 100% vertical seams and Aerolite Frame Technology, make SUPERNATURAL extremely durable. The Vectran stringers prevent elongation of the material, keeping the original shape for much longer than other wings, and our seam construction does the same for the canopy shape. SUPERNATURAL is designed for wingers looking for the lightest wing on the market from intermediate to advanced. It is designed as the one wing that will cover all your needs. Efficient take-offs and light wind/ underpowered riding, amazing stability in freefly, the best upwind ability of any single skin on the market, and superior control in high wind. You decide your limits, SUPERNATURAL will take you there!

What are the main characteristics?

SUPERNATURAL is the result of 7 years of wing design. It is designed with one simple goal to make your session as fun and enjoyable as possible. This may sound like a vague goal, but it is reached by focusing on many key design objectives:

• Efficiency, so you can take off with the least effort and ride with the smallest wing possible
• Upwind capability, so you get back quickly after riding waves
• Stability in freefly
• Power balance in the handles
• Controllable in high-winds
• Neutral balance in tacks & jibes
• Lightweight construction

How did you achieve these design objectives?

These objectives were achieved by building a wing around our Aerolite Frame, using a High Tenacity Polyester Leading edge and strut material combined with our UD Vectran tape along the LE. To make the wing efficient, we built the stiffest frame possible, so you have minimal deformation when pumping, ensuring that all the energy you generate when pumping goes towards forward motion for takeoff, and keeping the wing rigid and controllable in high winds.

The stability in freefly comes from the exceptional light weight of the wing that allows it to stay very neutral and follow you nicely even when the apparent wind becomes very light. The balanced and stable feel comes from using our proven profile and the right amount of dihedral and Leading Edge taper; it is also the key to the amazing neutrality in tacks and jibes.

SUPERNATURAL is the lightest wing on the market without using exotic materials. How did you achieve this?

Yes, SUPERNATURAL is the lightest wing on the market, even when compared to wings made out of Aluula or other films, because I paid extreme attention to the design and construction. Every piece of fabric or material that’s on SUPERNATURAL is there after its presence was questioned or shape adjusted in order to reach the overall lightest weight possible. Every seam and reinforcement has been tested on our machines and on the water extensively, guaranteeing the most durable construction possible. This year, SUPERNATURAL is also using fewer Leading Edge segments. Reducing segments allows for fewer junctions between segments, which means fewer layers of tape, sewing, and reinforcement, so this also saves weight!

Why did you decide only to produce a boom version of SUPERNATURAL this year?

2026 SUPERNATURAL only comes as boom only because it has been pretty clear that once you try the boom, you don’t want to go back to handles! This year we are introducing two more sizes of boom, so small wings (3.5 and smaller) have now a dedicated 85cm boom while the 7.2 and 8.2 SSD’s have a new 118cm boom.

Why does SUPERNATURAL have so many seams in the canopy?

I’m glad you’re asking ? Our canopy is designed to withstand the time. First we only run vertical seams to create the shape of the wing. This cancels the need for horizontal seams that run perpendicular to the main load in the wing and are inevitably aging quickly through seam slippage unless they are reinforced with heavy material. Then, you should know that when you stitch two pieces of canopy together, you naturally create a path for the load to go through, because at the level of the seam, you have two layers of material that are twice as stiff, so they stretch twice less than the rest of the canopy next to them, relieving the entire canopy in proximity. Our vertical seams (which we introduced three seasons ago already) guarantee long-lasting tension on your wing.
