The legendary Eagle foil has been redesigned for 2026. It’s aimed at being the best “ocean surfing” foil F-One can make. By ocean surfing, we mean shredding turns and gliding for miles on unbroken swell. It’s not about MPH, but turns per mile.
It combines a broad speed range with excellent glide for efficient riding, while still delivering exciting turning performance to keep things fun on long runs.
What F-One has to say:
The new EAGLE is a performance downwind foil designed for ocean surfing. Its AR of 9.5 offers effortless glide and early lift, while its reduced winglets and refined tips bring a level of maneuverability rarely found in traditional downwind foils. Combined with efficient forward drive, it lets you carve freely and link bumps with flow and precision.
Features:
- Built for ocean surfing
- Optimized outline and winglets bringing exceptional maneuverability
- Dynamic drive and acceleration
- Early lift and accessibility
- Versatile in all disciplines and conditions
- Dynamic Structural Design: New carbon layup for enhanced control, sensations and performance
- TITAN 2 connection for improved structural efficiency, offering better glide and more direct feel
Presentation:
The emergence of new disciplines like K-WING and Pocket Wing is opening the door to a more accessible approach to downwind riding without the downsides of a bulky, freefly wing or a paddle-based take-off.
In this context, more riders will naturally shift toward an “Ocean Surfing” style: a downwind practice focused on carving, surfing bumps like an endless wave, out in the open ocean, and far from the crowds.
The second version of our EAGLE foil is the perfect response to this, thanks to its unique balance of performance and accessibility, glide and maneuverability. Its forgiving low-end range makes take-offs easy and provides a smooth, confident ride. Its extended span (AR 9.5) brings the necessary glide to connect bumps effortlessly, with maximum flow.
Where the EAGLE truly stands out from other downwind foils is in its maneuverability, largely enhanced by reduced winglets and a refined outline at the wingtips. We specifically worked on the different phases of a turn: from roll (rail-to-rail) to pitch stability, all the way to the exit of the turn. Each movement flows naturally, without effort, while remaining perfectly stable. A behavior that suits both riders learning to carve and those who want to push hard and draw tight lines.
Finally, it’s the specific profile of this new EAGLE that makes all the difference. Even with excellent low-end performance, it maintains powerful and efficient drive: it captures even the slightest bump energy and transforms it into forward acceleration.
A foil that projects forward lets you break free from straight-line riding and carve freely on the bumps, because the acceleration it generates makes up for the extra distance covered in a turn. That’s exactly what the EAGLE is designed for: a foil that naturally generates drive and speed, allowing you to maintain energy throughout your turns and draw your own lines without getting overtaken by the bump or losing momentum.
Within this ocean surfing program, the EAGLE excels in steeper and/or slower bumps (stronger wind, shorter period), while the EAGLE X is better suited for faster and/or rounder bumps (lighter wind, longer period).
Available in seven sizes (690 – 1290 cm²), the new EAGLE is ideal for riders seeking downwind carving, cruising, flow runs, and all-around versatility whether Pocket Winging, K-winging, freeriding, or exploring endless downwind lines with a SUP.
* Downwinding requires physical preparation, proper security devices (ie. leash, flashlight, safety vest), and assistance at sea. Please do not attempt any downwinders alone nor without proper training.
Technology:
- TITAN 2 CONNECTION - The TITAN 2 connection introduces a revised design to deliver even greater efficiency, rigidity, and reliability at the critical junction between the mast and foil.
- HM - The High Modulus Carbon fiber layup is 1.5x stiffer than the regular carbon fiber used in other constructions. The percentage of high modulus fiber has been carefully adjusted to obtain the best stiffness in both bending and torsion while keeping enough comfort for any kind of practice.
- MONOBLOC FRONT WING - Having a stiff and solid assembly between all the parts of the foil is key to making it perform at its best as well as easy to handle.
- PRE PREG TECHNOLOGY - Pre-preg makes the foils stiffer and stronger. With pre-preg fabrics, the carbon fiber is directly impregnated with epoxy resin by its manufacturer. This guarantees a perfect ratio between epoxy and carbon and represents the highest quality process. It is then cured at high temperature, bringing strength and durability.
