Description

Make the entire ocean your playground.

Featuring a flatter displacement bottom, feeding into a double concave and a more forward positioned Ginxu Step Bottom (patented) with a wider outline make the Ginxu Dragonfly Surf Carbon the most stable of all the Dragonfly range. Whilst still maintaining the glide and low end speed we’ve come to love. The slightly more compact, wider outline with the reimagined volume flow make taking off in steeper, tighter swells what this board is all about. The same goes for Sup surf foiling. The more defined deck concave gives you a more stable and connected feel to the board. Turning downwind paddle runs into an endless wave.

It has been a 100% game changer.

I ride in winds I could have never gotten up on with my 99L Armstrong board. Pumping is so easy. This was no doubt the best addition to my winging gear. [Tucker] recommended that I go with the 130KL although I'm 165-170 lbs with no gear ---- I'm thrilled with the 130L, after quite a few sessions, I would not have gone with anything smaller ---- the 130 is so so stable. With the Dragonfly I go out on wings one to two sizes smaller than I would normally ride. I tend to ride this in windier conditions than I ever would have expected to because I can use such a small wing to get up. This was a game changer for a 74 year old that spends a lot of time in somewhat marginal wind conditions.

    KT GINXU DRAGONFLY SURF CARBON

Posted by Roger Moore on 9th Sep 2025

Tucker at MacKite recommended that I go with the 130L, my daily driver is an Armstrong 99L FG board. I was using an 85cm Armstrong mast. Have been riding and Armstrong S1-1850 with an Armstrong 220 Glide tail. I was testing for the first time the MA1390 Mark II front wing on my first session with the KT Dragonfly 130. I was riding a Duotone Ventis D-lab 7M. I weigh 165-168 (75-76 kilos). Been riding for a couple of years - kiteboarding background. Usually make my gybes ---- hard time riding off toe-side ---- so that's my story and I'm 74. Took the 130L out for my first day, yesterday, with enough wind, 6-11 MPH, most of the time it was mostly 6-9 or 10 --- no whitecaps. On my first attempt I got up in a tiny gust and rode the width of the lake - ~1 mile. Pitch stability at my weight on a 130L is off the charts awesome. Took quite a few falls, mostly due to very light winds with lulls of 0-2 MPH. All of my falls were of course due to having 6" less in width, but I really think the pitch stability was a good compensating factor for the reduced stability on the roll axis. I don't think that the board being 4" longer and weighing .7Kg more cost me anything on board speed prior to foiling. I'm 74, I'll take whatever advantage I can get - so I'm very happy with the 130L size. Once up on foil, I really didn't feel like I had a lot of real estate out in front - felt quite normal. I have no regrets on this purchase. I can see me using this on 15-20MPH days so that I can down-size on the inflatable wing. NO REGRETS
