TR3 TEC is SUNOVA’s most popular foilboard technology. After the success of our ECOTec technology and due to the rising cost of materials and our push for sustainability we introduced TR3 TEC. Using similar base materials but incorporating models from our entire SUP foil range TR3 TEC enables us to offer a great product at a reasonable price point.
A lightweight EPS core is coupled with a parabolic carbon fiber rail and sustainably sourced Paulownia wood making for a very aesthetically pleasing package. The wood is sandwiched top and bottom with fiberglass and bio epoxy resin, giving it good flex characteristics but making it extremely resistant to paddle marks or depressions. Finished off with natural colors and tones these boards look very sleek with an EVA deck pad that matches the overall theme. A ledge handle makes these boards super easy to transport and carry.

5’6” Sunova Trench Board
My first FD Trench Board in combo with my first FD mini pod. I’m 75 kg so normally I’d choose the 5’2” but at 67 yrs old with a knee replacement I definitely wanted something easier to deal with on starts and choppy water, especially for downwinding. I tried a friends sub 5’ trench board and it just wasn’t worth the extra effort for this old timer in choppy, messy water. Huge difference from my non-trench and standard pod. Easier, faster starts. Seamless touchdowns. The FD mini pod matches perfectly with this board and is an amazing design in its own right. Changeout with the split bolts and the mast plate screwed into the FD Max housing, is straightforward. The guys at Mack Kites always provide great service at competitive prices.
