All Around Freeride / Wave & Big Air

Sizes: 2m, 2.5m, 3m, 3.5m, 4m, 4.5m, 5m, 5.5m, 6m

When you're looking to carve down the face of a wave or push top speeds on flat water, the 2026 Cabrinha Mantis Wing delivers dependable drive and direct control. You'll feel immediately confident with its rigid front handle, allowing you to float the wing effortlessly on the wave face while keeping full attention on your line. The inclusion of the standard Handlebar boom gives you precise response for single-handed riding, smooth hand transitions, and technical freestyle maneuvers. Cabrinha even streamlined your pre- and post-session setup with a redesigned bag layout that allows you to pack away the 2026 Cabrinha Mantis Wing with the boom still attached.

What Cabrinha has to say:

Now in its 6th generation, the Mantis has become the benchmark for riders who demand stability, power, and versatility on the water. From smooth wave riding to cruising, its ability to stay balanced when flagged out and deliver low-end drive when needed has made it one of the most trusted wings in the sport.

For 2026, the Mantis continues to raise the bar. Built with precision craftsmanship, the upgraded Airframe inflation system, and a construction process refined for consistency, it delivers smoother handling, greater durability, and the most dependable feel yet.

Every detail has been considered, including the new Handlebar boom, now standard on every Mantis, and a redesigned bag that makes packing straightforward with no need to remove it.

From effortless down-the-line surfing to powered-up freeride sessions, the Mantis gives you the stability to flow, the power to fly, and the reliability to progress session after session.

Who is this for?

The Mantis is for wing foilers looking for a performance all-round wing that excels on flat water just as much as it does in the surf and in the air. This is a powered wing, ideal for the racecourse, the local break, or the foiler looking for performance. It offers control from the leading-edge handle, feels balanced in the surf, and boasts serious big-air capabilities.

How does it compare?

Versus the 2026 Vision:

While both wings are great for the everyday freeride session, that is where the similarity ends. The Mantis features a much flatter canopy compared to the Vision’s fuller profile, particularly at the leading edge. Because of its flatter canopy design, the Mantis requires a little more kinetic input (pumping) to get foiling at the lighter end of the wind range. Once up and riding, however, the flatter profile generates apparent wind and delivers the Mantis’ signature performance and impressive upwind angles. When sizing, we recommend the Vision for the lighter end of the wind range due to its fuller profile and more powerful personality. Larger sizes of the Mantis should be selected more with rider stature in mind. The Mantis also features a lower-dihedral leading edge compared to the Vision, allowing it to fly more balanced from the front handle when flagged out. This makes it ideal in the surf, where you can largely ignore the wing and focus on your lines. These qualities also give the Mantis serious big-air credentials for riders looking to boost or beat their personal best in the air.

Design Features:

  • Convex Dihedral - Helps expand the range of the Mantis by providing an increased power to stability ratio while creating steering stability when flying by the handle on a wave.
  • Load Path - Carefully designed panel layout that helps mitigate varying loads and elongation, translating into a cleaner and more structural product across a wider range of conditions.
  • Clean Tensioned Canopy - Precisely tensioned canopy design built to maximize efficiency and provide simple on-demand power.
  • Spanwise Panel Layout - Panel layouts running across the wing help distribute load equally throughout the canopy in key areas.
  • 20/20 Vision - Refined window layout running parallel alongside the strut, made from weather-resistant TPU to provide increased visibility while riding.
  • Convex Strut - Provides a stiff and reactive connection between the rider and wing.

Tech Specs:

  • Teijin D2 Ripstop Canopy - Made in Japan, this advanced double ripstop canopy fabric offers high performance and longevity, enhanced by Teijin's D2 coating for increased resistance against tearing, UV damage, and abrasions.
  • Keylock Angled Handle Attachments - Indexing attachment points lock down the boom to eliminate rotation at connection points, resulting in a rigid and direct control system.
  • Load Distributor - Trailing edge load distributor increases wing durability and distributes wing tension while preventing scuffing when resting on land.
  • Industry Leading Front Handle - Rigid front handle enables precision control of the wing when free flying.
  • Airframe - Single-point inflation system engineered for simplicity, durability, and quick setup or pack down.
